I’m currently looking to replace the stock tires on my Nissan Altima and could really use some advice. I’m mainly driving in a mix of city and highway conditions, so I need something reliable for daily commuting. I’m specifically looking for all-season tires that offer a smooth, quiet ride but can still handle wet roads and the occasional light snow during the winter. I’ve been looking at the Michelin CrossClimate 2s and some Continental options, but I’m worried about tread life and road noise. Does anyone have specific recommendations that balance performance and durability for this car? What all-season tires have worked best for your Altima?

Quick question - what's your actual budget for the full set? The Michelin CrossClimate 2 and Continental PureContact LS are top-tier, but they definitely come with a premium price tag. Honestly, if you're looking to save some cash, you might want to look at the General AltiMAX RT45 or the Hankook Kinergy ST H735. These usually run about $120-$150 per tire versus $200+ for the Michelins. I've found they offer a decent ride for the price, though they might not last quite as long. Let me know what you're willing to spend!

I totally get the struggle! I remember when I first swapped my Altima's stock tires; the difference was night and day. For your mix of city and highway, I'm a huge fan of the Continental PureContact LS. They are seriously amazing for a quiet, smooth ride and honestly last forever! Another fantastic option if you want better wet grip without the noise is the Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3. Both definitely beat the stock rubber!

Curious about one thing: what kind of winter conditions are we talking about for your Altima? If you're dealing with icy patches, safety is the top priority. I've been driving for decades and honestly, I'm very satisfied with the Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack for year-round reliability. They're super quiet on the highway and handle wet roads like a pro. Also, check out the Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3 if you want that extra bit of durability!

Hi there, I've been there! In my experience, choosing tires for an Altima can be tricky because you really want to maintain that smooth ride quality. Honestly, I've tried many sets over the years, and while the Michelin CrossClimate 2 is a beast in the snow, I found the road noise a bit much for long highway commutes.

However, you definitely want to avoid cheap budget brands; they tend to lose grip fast on wet roads and get noisy within a few thousand miles. For your situation, I'd seriously recommend the Continental PureContact LS. I've had these on my own Altima, and they are incredibly quiet and handle rain like a champ. Another solid option is the Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3, which has amazing tread life. Both give you that premium feel without the aggressive tread growl. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more info.
