Are Porsche branded valve stem caps worth the money?

I’ve been looking for some small ways to dress up my 911, and I keep seeing those official Porsche-branded valve stem caps in the parts catalog and at the dealership. They definitely look sharper than the standard black plastic ones, but the price tag seems pretty steep for such a tiny accessory. I’m curious if they are actually made of a higher-quality metal or if they have a better seal than the cheap generic sets you find online. My main concern is whether they tend to corrode or seize onto the valve stems over time, especially with TPM sensors, or if they’re prone to getting stolen since they have the logo on them. I’ve seen some aftermarket versions for a fraction of the cost, but I’m worried about fitment and finish. For those of you who have splurged on the OEM set, do they hold up well against the elements and car washes, or is it just a waste of $40-$50? Are there specific versions that look better with silver vs. black wheels?

Honestly, be CAREFUL with those metal caps because they can literally seize onto your valves due to galvanic corrosion. i mean, it’s a nightmare if they get stuck to your expensive TPMS sensors!

In my experience:
* Always use a tiny bit of anti-seize or grease on the threads
* The silver ones look way cleaner on classic wheels imo
* They definitely get stolen lol, so dont be surprised if they vanish

Basically, they're mostly for looks and kinda risky if you dont maintain them...
