I’m about to take delivery of a new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid and want to keep that finish looking pristine from day one. Since I do a mix of city driving and occasional weekend trips to the mountains, I'm particularly worried about rock chips and road salt. I’ve been looking into Paint Protection Film (PPF) for the front end, but I’m also curious if there are specific mud flaps or door edge guards that don't ruin the sleek profile. Also, are there any specialized covers for the charging port area to prevent scratches while plugging in? What exterior protective accessories have you guys found to be the most effective for the E-Hybrid without compromising its styling?

ngl, you gotta go with a full front clip of XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film. I've done this on my last three builds and it's basically the industry standard for resisting those high-velocity rock chips you'll get in the mountains. For the charging port area? dont bother with a bulky cover—just have your installer wrap the port flap and the surrounding fender with PPF too. It's totally invisible and saves you from those accidental cable scuffs when you're plugging in late at night. For the sides, iirc the Porsche Genuine Splash Guard Set for the E3 chassis is actually pretty low-profile if you want to avoid salt spray, but skip the plastic door guards... they look tacky tbh. Just use some XPEL Door Edge Guards clear strips. It's way cleaner and keeps the lines sleek while protecting from tight city parking spots. gl with the delivery!! 🏎️

yo, just saw this. if you wanna save cash, i'd look into a diy roll of 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film Pro Series 4 Inch x 84 Inch for high-traffic spots. honestly, you can wrap the charging port yourself with VViViD Clear Paint Protection Film Vinyl 6 Inch x 60 Inch for way less than a shop charges!! also Rally Armor Universal Basic Mud Flaps are a solid budget move. gl! 👍

> I’m particularly worried about rock chips and road salt. Honestly, skip basic films and get Suntek Reaction Paint Protection Film. I had issues with yellowing before, but its hydrophobic layer handles mountain road salt way better than standard stuff. Also, wrap that port!
