I’m finally planning my first multi-state road trip in my 911 Carrera next month, and while I’m incredibly excited to get some serious miles on the odometer, I’m starting to stress a bit about the logistics. As much as I love this car, we all know the storage situation isn't exactly cavernous. I’m trying to figure out how to maximize that front trunk (frunk) space while making sure I’m prepared for anything the highway throws at me.

I’ve been looking into those custom-fitted luggage sets that are shaped specifically for the frunk, but they’re a bit of an investment—are they actually worth it, or do most of you just stick to soft-sided duffel bags? Also, since there’s no spare tire, I’m feeling a little anxious about a potential flat in a remote area. Are there specific tire plug kits or compact air compressors that you’ve found fit perfectly in the tool cubby?

I'm also curious about cabin organization. I’d love to keep the interior looking clean, so any recommendations for low-profile phone mounts or clever ways to store small essentials like sunglasses and charging cables would be amazing. For those of you who have done long-distance tours in your 911, what are the absolute 'must-have' accessories you never leave home without?

tbh, those expensive custom bags were a total letdown for me. just grab a cheap Amazon Basics Large Nylon Duffel Bag for $20 and a Slime 50107 Emergency Flat Tire Repair Kit instead. gl!

+1 to what was said earlier. Rigid luggage is a total trap lol. I think simple is always better. - Bags: Patagonia Black Hole Duffel 40L vs custom sets. Duffels win cuz they squish into corners.
- Repairs: Stop & Go 1000 Pocket Tire Plugger is tiny and fits the tool cubby perfectly. I'm sooo happy with the Rennline ExactFit Magnetic Phone Mount too—it's low-profile and keeps cables organized. Basically, just dont overthink it. gl!

In my experience, you really gotta prioritize volume efficiency over looks. The 911 frunk is shaped like a wedge, so those expensive custom luggage sets look great but they basically create dead space in the corners because they're so rigid. I think most seasoned road-trippers end up switching to soft-sided duffel bags or even high-end dry bags. Not sure if it's common knowledge, but you can actually tuck smaller items like shoes or jackets into the gaps around a duffel, which you just cant do with a hard case. IIRC, the tool cubby is pretty tight, but I’d definitely skip the sealant goop if you can. It can mess up your TPMS sensors, which is SO expensive to fix. Instead, maybe look at: * A solid tire plug kit with a T-handle (way more reliable)
* A compact 12V air compressor
* A low-profile phone mount that clips onto the dash or vents And honestly, just try not to overthink it. I mean, half the fun is the drive itself, so keep the cabin clear and focus on the road. gl! 👍
