Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited because I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new Macan Electric in Gentian Blue. Since this is my first foray into both the Porsche world and the EV lifestyle, I’m trying to get ahead of the game with the essential accessories before the car actually arrives.

I’ve been browsing the official Tequipment catalog, but it’s a bit overwhelming (and definitely pricey!). I’m particularly curious about what people are using for the frunk—is a dedicated organizer or liner really necessary for daily use? Also, with all that beautiful glass and the piano black trim inside, I’m already worried about scratches and fingerprints. Does anyone have a lead on high-quality screen protectors or specific interior care kits that actually work? Lastly, I'm debating if I should invest in a better mobile charging cable for road trips or if the one Porsche provides is usually enough.

I really want to keep the car looking factory-fresh while making it practical for my commute. Are there any must-have items you’ve found indispensable so far, or perhaps some aftermarket 'hidden gems' that fit the Macan EV perfectly?

What are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend for a new Macan Electric owner to pick up right away?

- Porsche's 9.6kW cable is basically enough, dont overspend yet. gl!

In my experience, skip the pricey Tequipment gear.
* Chemical Guys SPI22516 InnerClean Interior Quick Detailer
* Amazon Basics Microfiber Cleaning Cloths 24-Pack
Basically all you need for $20. Stay fresh!

To add to the point above: i have been pretty disappointed with a few things i tried on my own Macan. Reliability is key when you are spending this much, and unfortunately, some of the go-to recommendations just didnt meet my standards.

  • Gyeon Q2M InteriorDetailer 500ml: I tried a few cheaper detailers first and they were a total letdown. They left a cloudy residue on the piano black trim that was a nightmare to buff off. The Gyeon is much more methodical and actually cleans without adding a greasy layer.
  • Lectron Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter 48A: Dont rely solely on the Porsche mobile cable for trips. It is not as good as expected in terms of versatility. This adapter is much more reliable for accessing destination chargers when the standard J-plugs are busy or broken. I also found the fitment of the official Porsche frunk liner to be surprisingly poor. It slides around during cornering and the material feels thin... honestly expected much better quality for the price.

Hmm, I've had a different experience because cleaning alone won't stop those micro-scratches on piano black... I'd highkey suggest getting a Xpel Interior Paint Protection Film Kit for permanent protection. Also, just grab a WeatherTech Universal Cargo Mat for the frunk and trim it yourself—it's way cheaper than the official liner and works perfectly for ur commute!!!

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to reply... congrats on the Gentian Blue, thats a stunning choice. Quick question though, are you planning on getting a proper wallbox installed at home or are you gonna try to survive on the mobile charger for your daily commute too? Knowing your home setup helps narrow down the cable situation. Like someone mentioned, that piano black is a nightmare. I've been super happy with these picks for my Macan:

  • TuxMat Custom Car Floor Mats for Porsche Macan vs the Porsche Tequipment All-Weather Floor Mats: Honestly, the TuxMats are way better. They cover the sides of the footwell so you dont get salt or dirt on the actual carpet, whereas the OEM ones are just basic rubber mats. The TuxMats look more high-end too, which fits the EV vibe.
  • Sonax Dashboard Cleaner Matte Finish: I prefer this over the stuff mentioned earlier. It leaves a zero-shine finish that looks factory fresh. No complaints about streaks at all and it doesnt smell like chemicals. Its definitely worth getting the floor protection sorted before the car actually arrives. Let me know about your charging situation and I can suggest a better cable setup for those road trips!
