Finally pulled the trigger on a Taycan 4S and it arrives in Portland next Thursday! I am beyond stoked but now I am obsessing over the interior. I read that a center console organizer is a life saver since the storage is a bottomless pit but then I saw reviews saying it messes with the wireless charging or gets way too hot?
I also need mats because of the rain here but are the OEM ones actually worth it? Some say they are too thin and to go with TuxMat instead. I have about $500 set aside for small stuff and want to get it right. What are the actual essentials you guys use every single day...
In my experience, fingerprints on the gloss black are the worst part. I've tried many cloths but keep a CleanVu Microfiber Screen Cleaning Cloth 12x12 in the door for daily wipes. Also, the key fob scratches instantly, so I use a Ohtwo Porsche Key Fob Cover Silicone Black. It's cheap and saves the plastic. Skip the expensive extras, these are the real day-to-day essentials.
Congrats on the 4S! Honestly, the interior storage is just as annoying as you have heard. I was really disappointed with the OEM floor mats too. For a car at this price point, the factory ones are incredibly flimsy and they barely hold any water or mud. Living in Portland, you will probably ruin the carpet in a week if you stick with them... they just arent as good as expected for PNW winters. I ended up swapping things around after a few failed attempts. Here is what actually made the car livable for me:
I'm always worried about coffee spills so I bought the Suncoast Parts Porsche Taycan Cup Holder Insert. It's been very reliable and I'm satisfied with the secure fit for my mugs.
