Picking up my Macan EV in Seattle this Friday and taking it straight to the mountains for skiing next weekend. I saw some talk about the reversible trunk mat but then read the stock floor mats are trash for snow. Also people mention clear side markers but is that even a thing for the electric model? What are the actual must-haves I need to order right now before the trip?

> Picking up my Macan EV in Seattle this Friday and taking it straight to the mountains for skiing next weekend. Building on the earlier suggestion, I would suggest being very careful with the interior surfaces. Porsche loves that piano black trim on the center console, and honestly, it scratches if you even look at it wrong. Since you are heading to the mountains with gear and gloves, those screens and glossy bits are gonna get thrashed. Make sure to order the ScreenProTech Porsche Macan Electric Screen and Console Protection Kit. It is kind of a project to install, but it saves the interior from those hairline scratches that show up instantly. You also might want to consider the charging situation at the resorts. A lot of ski lodges in the PNW have those older Tesla destination chargers but no J1772 plugs. I always carry a Lectron Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter 48A just in case. It is way better to have it and not need it than to be stuck searching for a working CCS station in a snowstorm. One last practical tip: dont use a standard plastic scraper on the paint. I use the SnoBrum Original Snow Removal Tool with the foam head. It wont mar the finish when you are clearing off a foot of snow at the pass. Just be sure to double-check that your auto-wipers are off before you start, or you might snap a blade if they are frozen to the glass.

Saw this late but gotta chime in since you're heading to the mountains. For snow, you really gotta think about the slush kicking up. Those new EV bodies are basically magnets for road salt. I'd definitely grab the Porsche Macan Electric Mud Flaps for the front and rear. They aren't the prettiest things but they save your rocker panels from getting sandblasted by road grit. Since you're heading into the cold, a backup for juice is smart. The Porsche Mobile Charger Connect is a decent option to keep in the frunk just in case your destination charger is iced over or broken. To answer your question, the Suncoast Porsche Clear Side Markers Macan Electric are specific to the EV model and look way better than the orange eyesores, tho they won't help you in a blizzard.

Congrats on the new ride. I went through this exact panic when I got my last Porsche right before a trip to Stevens Pass. Honestly, the stock carpet mats are useless for snow... they just soak up salt and stay damp for days. I skipped the dealer markup and grabbed WeatherTech FloorLiner for Porsche Macan EV because the high walls actually catch the slush from my ski boots. Tbh, the Porsche Macan Electric Reversible Trunk Mat is okay for groceries but for wet gear, it isnt enough. I ended up getting a dedicated plastic liner. Regarding the side markers, yeah, the orange eyesores are still there on the US electric model. Swapping them for Suncoast Porsche Clear Side Markers Macan EV takes like five minutes and makes the front end look way cleaner. Definitely do the mats before your trip tho, otherwise your new car smell is gonna turn into wet dog smell real fast.
