so i finally got my hands on a rivian delivery van for my mobile bike shop here in seattle but the back is just an empty cavern right now. ive been looking at the official rivian shelving options but the pricing is just insane. my logic was to go with generic shelving like weather guard but i read the t-tracks in the floor are specific to the edv and regular bolts wont work. im super anxious about drilling into the floor because i dont want to hit the battery pack or void any warranties. has anyone found any cargo nets or modular bins that actually lock into those weird floor rails? i need to get this on the road by next week and im kind of panicking...

yo! the edv is such a beast for a mobile bike shop, love the choice! you absolutely gotta check out the Milwaukee Packout Mounting Plate for your floor setup. its basically the gold standard for modularity. if the bolts are being annoying, just grab some generic t-bolts and grind the heads down a bit with a dremel. works like a charm and keeps your warranty safe from the drill!!

man i feel your pain... honestly the edv is kind of a headache when it comes to diy stuff. i was so excited to get mine set up but unfortunately the t-tracks are just weird enough that standard hardware store bolts dont sit flush. i had major issues with some cheap generic brackets i bought and it was just a waste of money tbh. you definitely shouldnt drill though!! i heard stories about someone hitting a cooling line and that is a nightmare you dont want. for my setup i went the budget route because rivians prices are just offensive. instead of their shelving i got some 80/20 T-Slot Fasteners Series 15 M8 and they actually fit the floor rails pretty well without having to modify anything. i used those to bolt down some heavy duty crates i already had. for the walls i actually found that a Keeper 07204 4ft x 6ft Bungee Cargo Net is way more useful for holding tires and random parts than the official bins that cost five times as much. its not as fancy as the factory look but it gets the job done and keeps your warranty safe. just stay away from the drill, seriously... its not worth the anxiety.
