I just took delivery of my R1S and I’m already nervous about keeping those floors pristine, especially with winter mud and the kids' soccer gear in the mix. I’m looking for a solid set of all-weather liners that offer maximum coverage for all three rows and maybe even the frunk. I’ve seen some people mention the official Rivian ones, but I’m curious if aftermarket brands like 3D MAXpider or WeatherTech provide a better fit or a higher 'lip' to catch spills. Quality is a big deal for me since the interior feels so premium. For those who’ve had their R1S for a while, which brand stays in place best and is easiest to hose down?

In my experience, you definitely wanna skip the OEM mats if you're dealing with soccer mud and winter slush. I've had my R1S for over a year now and I've tried many different setups, but honestly, the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Liners for Rivian R1S are the way to go. They have this textured finish that actually looks premium and matches the interior vibe way better than the industrial look of WeatherTech FloorLiner HP.

Here's what I've learned over the years about these:
- The lip on the 3D MAXpiders is high enough to catch a spilled latte, trust me on that one lol.
- They literally do not budge because of that velcro-like backing.
- For the cargo area and frunk, I actually went with the BestEvMod for Rivian R1S All-Weather Floor Mats and Cargo Liner Set because it was a bit cheaper and covers the back of the seats when they're folded down.

Basically, if you want it to stay 'pristine', go with the 3D ones for the main rows. They're sooo easy to just pull out and hose down. Does your R1S have the Dark Ash wood or the vegan leather? Knowing that might help pick a color that blends in better! cheers

For your situation, I'd suggests checking out WeatherTech HP FloorLiner for Rivian R1S. Honestly, I'm pretty cautious about aftermarket stuff, but these use a softer TPE material that wont slide around like the cheaper plastic ones.

I mean, make sure you look for the 'HP' version specifically cuz it's got a higher lip than the standard ones to catch all that soccer mud. Just be careful with the fitment around the seat tracks, sometimes they need a little nudge to sit 100% flush. basically, they're super easy to hose down when the kids inevitably spill stuff!!

For your R1S, the official Rivian mats offer decent quality but some users report they lack full coverage and high lips, especially near pedals. 3D MAXpider mats are highly praised for their precise fit, excellent coverage, anti-slip backing, and easy cleaning. WeatherTech also provides superb fit and durability with good spill containment. Both aftermarket brands offer frunk liners for complete protection.

Honestly, I've had some issues with the high-end stuff not being worth the crazy markup... it's kinda frustrating. If you're looking to save some cash for soccer snacks, just go with TuxMat. They give way more coverage on the side walls than most, which is huge for mud. Basically, they look premium but don't cost as much as the big name brands. Plus, they're super easy to spray down when the kids inevitably make a mess, right?

Re: "Same here!"

  • Having had my R1S for a year, I definitely understand the concern. Safety and reliability are big for me, so finding something that wouldnt slip was the priority. Honestly, LinerX All-Weather Floor Mats for Rivian R1S has been a great choice and I'm very satisfied.
  • The laser-measured fit is spot on. They stay locked in place.
  • TPE material is used here, which is rugged and completely odorless.
  • Cleanup is simple with just a garden hose. Adding the LinerX Frunk Mat for Rivian R1S was also a smart move for protecting the front storage area. It's worked well for groceries and dirty gear. No complaints at all.
