Fellow Tesla owners, I'm due for new tires on my Model X and looking for recommendations. Currently running the OEM Continental CrossContact LX Sport but considering other options for better range, comfort, and handling in various weather conditions.

What tires have worked best for your Model X? Specifically interested in:

  • Range impact
  • Ride comfort
  • Wet weather performance
  • Longevity

Budget isn't my main concern, but value matters. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Im in the exact same boat right now and honestly its been a nightmare trying to find a reliable replacement that actually meets safety standards for such a heavy vehicle. I have researched a few other brands but they just havent been as good as expected for a car this size.

  • Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV: I had high hopes for these because of the SoundComfort tech but unfortunately they didnt live up to the hype... the sidewall stability feels a bit mushy during emergency maneuvers which is a huge safety concern for me.
  • Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra: These were supposed to be the longevity kings but the wet braking performance was quite disappointing compared to the stock options. I just dont feel as confident taking corners when the roads are even slightly damp. Still searching for a setup that doesnt compromise on structural integrity or safety... its really frustrating how limited the truly reliable options are for the X right now.

Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus has been my go-to for two sets now. Perfect balance for the Model X - comfortable ride, excellent wet traction, and surprisingly good for range. They're not the cheapest option but last longer than most premium alternatives (got 45K from my last set). Tesla service center actually recommended them to me when I complained about the Continental noise.

I've been extremely happy with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires on my X. They strike an excellent balance between range efficiency and performance. Wet weather grip is outstanding, and they're noticeably quieter than the OEM Continentals. I'm getting about 40K miles per set with regular rotation.

If range is your top priority, consider the Michelin Primacy MXM4. Several owners report 5-8% better efficiency, though you'll sacrifice some cornering grip.

For winter conditions, Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV tires are worth the investment - far better than all-seasons if you deal with real snow.

Whatever you choose, proper inflation makes a huge difference in both range and wear.

Continental CrossContact LX Sport has been my go-to for two sets now. Better range than the Michelins in my experience, and about $50-75 cheaper per tire. The sidewalls are stiff enough to handle the Model X's weight, and they're quieter than the factory Continentals that came with my 2020. Got 35k miles from my first set, which is impressive for a heavy EV.

I've had great experiences with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires on my Model X. They offer excellent wet weather performance, comfort, and have minimal impact on range. Worth considering for their durability and value!
