Looking for all-season tire recommendations for my Model S. Something that lasts! What are your favorites around 50k miles?
Just saw this thread and wanted to jump in because I disagree that 50k miles isnt achievable. Choosing the right tire and driving style really dictates the lifespan. I've found the Michelin CrossClimate 2 245/45R19 102V XL to be a solid option that actually lasts if you arent launching at every light. The tread design is aggressive but it holds up well under the weight. Tbh the best tip is checking your alignment twice a year. The Model S is known for having inner tire wear issues because of the rear camber. If you dont catch it early, no tire is gonna last 50k. Another decent choice is the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 245/45ZR19 102Y XL if you want something smoother, tho it might wear slightly faster than the Michelins.
No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.
I use Pirelli P Zero AS Plus. Decent option, got 45k miles. Check Discount Tire.
Hey! For a Model S, treadwear is key. Be careful with low rolling resistance; it impacts grip. I'd suggest checking out Pirelli P Zero All Season. Make sure the load rating meets Tesla's spec! Consult a tire pro!
For value, consider Laufenn S FIT AS. They're a budget-friendly option. Don't expect 50k miles from ANY tire on a Model S due to the weight and torque. Check load rating (XL is crucial). Rotate every 5k miles religiously to maximize lifespan and even wear. Tire Rack often has good deals; keep an eye out!
Hey! For safety, I'd suggest Bridgestone Weatherpeak. Be careful with range claims, but wet/dry grip is top-notch. Make sure your installer checks the load rating; Teslas are heavy!
Bridgestone's market share is huge. Consider Potenza RE980AS. Good reviews, expect ~$1200 a set.
