What are the must-have interior accessories for a new BMW X5?

I just took delivery of a brand new BMW X5 last week, and while the cabin is absolutely stunning, I’m looking to add those finishing touches to keep it looking pristine and make it more functional for daily use. I’m particularly interested in high-quality items that match the premium feel of the Sensafin/leather interior without looking cheap or aftermarket.

I’ve already been looking into the BMW weather mats versus something like TuxMat, but I’m curious what else you all consider 'essential' for the G05 platform. Since I have kids and a dog, I’m leaning toward some sort of seat back protection and maybe a high-quality cargo liner that doesn't slide around. I'm also wondering if anyone has found a screen protector for the large curved display that actually reduces fingerprints without ruining the clarity. I’m willing to spend a bit more for accessories that actually fit perfectly and don't rattle.

For those of you who have lived with the X5 for a while, what are the interior accessories you honestly couldn’t live without, and are there any specific brands you’d recommend avoiding?

For your situation, I recommend looking at budget-friendly Amazon options that basically do the same job as OEM stuff. I'm highkey satisfied with the Vancooler Car Seat Back Protectors for like $25—they keep kid scuffs off the Sensafin and look surprisingly decent. For the screen, I use the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for BMW Curved Display which was around $40; it literally saves me from wiping fingerprints daily. Also, Maxliner All Weather Cargo Liner is a solid deal under $100... it doesn't slide around at all.

TL;DR: Skip the $200 BMW-branded stuff; Spigen and Maxliner offer way better value for the money.

sooo i just saw this and honestly congrats on the new X5! i've been driving my G05 for a couple years now and i totally get wanting to keep that interior mint without breaking the bank. for the dog and cargo situation, i'm super happy with the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for BMW X5 G05. it's basically indestructible and fits like a glove so it doesn't slide around at all when the pup is back there.

also if ur looking for a budget friendly way to protect the seats from the kids, check out the Lusso Gear Car Seat Protector with Thick Padding. it sits under the car seat and actually prevents those deep indentations in the Sensafin, plus it catches crumbs lol. for the screen, i've actually been using a simple Meguiar's Quik Detailer Interior Cleaner and a good microfiber instead of a protector. it keeps it looking crisp without the glare issues. gl with the new ride!! 👍

I went through this last year when I first got my G05. Honestly, I'm pretty cautious about anything near that curved display because I've seen cheap protectors cause weird glare or touch issues, so I actually ended up leaving mine bare... still trying to find the perfect one tbh. But I'm curious, since you've got the dog, are you looking for a cargo liner that covers just the floor or one of those full-wrap versions that protects the side trim too? That's what I've been debating myself!
