Hey everyone! I finally joined the club and picked up a 2024 CT5-V Blackwing in Summit White. It is easily the best car I have ever driven, and that LT4 engine is just something else. However, looking at it in my driveway, I can't help but feel it looks a bit too much like a sleeper. Don't get me wrong, I love the understated look, but I feel like it needs a bit more visual aggression to match the 668 horsepower under the hood.
I unfortunately missed out on the factory Carbon Fiber packages because I bought this one off the lot, and now I'm really feeling the itch to dress it up. I'm looking for mods that look like they could have come from the factory but just take things up a notch. I really don't want anything that looks cheap or ruins the car's aerodynamics. I've been attending a few local meets lately, and seeing some of the other builds has me realizing how much potential the CT5 platform has if you choose the right parts.

Are there specific brands I should absolutely stick to or any I should stay away from? I really want to make this thing stand out without overdoing it. What are the best exterior styling mods you have found for the CT5-V Blackwing?
Honestly, if you are worried about longevity, you gotta be careful with the cheaper kits. I have seen some really nasty yellowing on the budget stuff after just one summer in the sun. If you want that factory look without the factory price tag, I would compare two main options. The Racing Sport Concepts CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler is basically the gold standard for aftermarket fitment. It is pricey, but the weave is perfect and the UV protection is top-tier. On the other hand, something like the Extreme Online Store CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Front Splitter is way more affordable. It looks decent, but the clear coat is thinner and the fitment might require some massaging during the install. My best advice is to get any carbon piece ceramic coated immediately to prevent that peeling you mentioned. Also, be careful with those low splitters... it is way too easy to crack them on a steep driveway if you are not paying attention.

I saw this earlier but just getting around to it now. Honestly, I went down this exact rabbit hole with my own Blackwing last year and it can be a total headache trying to figure out who actually makes quality stuff versus just dropshipping cheap molds. I was super paranoid about the clear coat too since mine sits outside occasionally. I eventually landed on the Weapon-X Motorsports CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Aero Kit and the fitment was actually spot on. Weapon-X has been in the GM tuning scene for a long time, so they really understand the mounting points on these cars. To solve that yellowing issue you are worried about, I actually had my detailer wrap the carbon pieces in PPF and ceramic coat them before they even went on the car. Tbh, that is the only way to really guarantee it looks fresh in five years. Just a heads up tho, if you do go with a bigger rear spoiler, make sure it is high-quality carbon because the drag at high speeds can actually stress the trunk lid if the mounting isnt solid. Most yellowing happens because of cheap polyester resins instead of high-temp epoxy.
