Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger on a 2024 Silverado LTZ and I am absolutely loving it so far. The interior is way nicer than my old truck, which is exactly why I am a bit paranoid about keeping it in pristine condition. I live in an area where we get a lot of mud and slush, and between my two golden retrievers and my weekend DIY projects, I know it is only a matter of time before the cab gets trashed if I do not prep it now.
I have been looking at a few different things but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of brands out there. Specifically, I am trying to decide on:
I want accessories that actually fit the contours of the Chevy perfectly and do not look cheap or bulky. Since this is my first really nice truck, I would rather spend a little more now than regret it later when the carpet is stained. For those of you who have had your trucks for a while, what are the best interior protection accessories you have found for the Silverado?
Congrats on the LTZ! I have been driving Silverados for a decade now and honestly, the interior protection is where most people cheap out and regret it later. For the floors, I would skip the standard hard plastic WeatherTechs. They tend to curl at the edges after a few seasons in my experience. I much prefer the Husky Liners X-act Contour Floor Mats Front and Rear. They have a softer, rubbery feel that grips your boots better when its muddy out and they stay flexible even in the freezing cold. Since you have goldens, the Covercraft Carhartt Precision Fit Seat Covers are basically a requirement. They are super rugged and fit the seats like a glove so they wont bunch up when the dogs jump in. For that big screen, definitely grab a Screen Protech Chevy Silverado 13.4-inch Screen Protector Kit. It helps a ton with fingerprints and glare which is huge on that massive display.
Agree 100% on the material choice—low-grade TPE has terrible thermal stability. For floors, 3D MAXpider Kagu Floor Mat Black Full Set is superior for noise reduction due to the XPE foam layer. Compare that to WeatherTech FloorLiner HP High Performance Floor Mat which uses high-density TPE for better chemical resistance. For the screen, Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector with 9H hardness is unbeatable for impact protection and clarity.
I am a bit of a novice at this stuff but unfortunately I already had some bad luck with the big name brands... they just dont feel as solid as they used to. Tbh I spent a fortune on one set and it felt like thin plastic, almost slipped getting out once. Before you dive in tho, are you mainly worried about the dog hair sticking to the carpet or just the mud? I found that hair is a nightmare to get out of the factory floor even with liners. I did a little DIY testing on these:
Good to know!
Congrats on the new LTZ, those 2024 interiors are a huge step up. Ive owned three Silverados over the years and trust me, protecting that carpet early is the way to go. To help narrow it down tho, are you prioritizing a sleek factory look or is maximum coverage for that mud your top concern? Also, do the dogs stay on the floor or usually jump up on the seats?
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.
