Hey everyone! I just picked up a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 last week and I am absolutely loving the ride so far. It is a huge step up from my old sedan, but I am finding that the interior is a bit of a blank canvas right now. Since I am planning to use this truck for my daily commute and also for some longer camping trips on the weekends, I really want to make the cabin as functional and organized as possible.

Right now, the giant center console is basically just a deep black hole where I constantly lose my keys, wallet, and coins. I definitely need a better way to manage that space. I am also worried about keeping the carpets clean since I live in a pretty rainy area and tend to track in a lot of mud and grit whenever I am out on the trails. I have been browsing a few sites, but the sheer amount of options for seat covers and dash mats is getting a little overwhelming.

I am specifically looking for things like:

  • A high-quality center console tray or organizer
  • Heavy-duty floor liners that actually stay in place
  • Any clever storage solutions for under the rear seats

For those of you who have had your Silverados for a while, what are the most useful interior accessories you have actually stuck with? I want to invest in gear that fits perfectly and holds up to daily abuse. What are your absolute must-haves for the cab?

Congrats on the truck! For floor liners, I compared the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFit HP TPE against the Husky Liners WeatherBeater Thermoplastic Rubber. WeatherTech has better laser-measured precision, but Husky feels more rubbery and less slippery under your boots. For that center console, the Vehicle OCD Center Console Tray Organizer SL-1500 is way better than generic stuff since the fitment is exact. Those are absolute essentials tbh.

Tbh the Rough Country Floor Armor Heavy Duty Floor Mats really saved my carpets from mud, and the Du-Ha Under Seat Storage Case 10300 is literal perfection for hiding my camping tools.

Congrats on the new rig! Honestly, talking about interior mods reminds me of my buddy who obsessed over his cabin layout. He spent months tweaking everything, then one day a loose water bottle rolled under his brake pedal while he was towing. Scared him half to death and he nearly totaled the thing. Safety is such a huge deal with these heavy trucks. Anyway, just be careful what you toss in there.
