I finally pulled the trigger and got a deposit down for a new Z06 but honestly Im way out of my depth here. This is my first real sports car and everyone keeps talking about all these extra parts and add-ons you need to buy to make it better. I live in South Florida where it gets super hot and I just want to use it for weekend cruises not really racing it on a track or anything.

My budget is around 5000 for extra stuff right now but I dont even know what I should be looking at... is it wheels or like wings for the back? Sorry if this is a total beginner question but what accessories actually make a difference for someone like me who just wants the best experience?

Congrats on the Z06, honestly you are gonna love it. I remember when I got my first C8 I was so worried about every little scratch and how hot it got down here. I live in Florida too and the sun is just brutal on these interiors. I kept things pretty conservative with my budget and focused on keeping the car safe rather than adding huge wings or wheels that might just get scraped up on a curb anyway. The very first thing I did was get a high quality tint. It sounds simple but it changed the whole experience for me. I had XPEL PRIME XR PLUS Ceramic Window Tint installed and the heat rejection is incredible. No more burning my hands on the steering wheel after it sits for twenty minutes. Another huge thing for peace of mind was getting radiator guards. Those front openings on the Z06 are massive and I was always scared a rock would fly in there and ruin my day. I went with Scrape Armor Radiator Guards for Corvette C8 Z06 and I am so happy with how they look. They fit perfect and actually protect the car from expensive damage. Tbh you dont need to spend that full 5000 right away. I stuck to the basics and felt way more confident driving it around. Maybe grab a nice wash kit like the Chemical Guys HOL148 16-Piece Car Wash Kit to keep the paint looking fresh in the driveway. It is much better to have a car that runs cool and stays protected than a bunch of expensive parts you might not even need for weekend cruising.
