What are the best exterior modifications for a Chevy Equinox EV?

What are some actually decent exterior mods for the new Equinox EV that won't totally kill my range or look like I'm trying too hard? I just picked up my RS trim in radiant red a couple weeks ago here in Seattle and while I love the car I feel like it looks a bit too much like every other crossover in the grocery store parking lot. I really want to make it stand out a bit more but I'm also terrified of messing with the aerodynamics since this is my first electric car and I'm still getting used to the whole range anxiety thing.

I did some digging online and saw a few people talk about doing a full chrome delete and blacking out the bowties which I think would look sick on the red paint but I'm getting mixed signals. Some people on Reddit were saying that wrapping the front trim can mess with the proximity sensors or the radar for the adaptive cruise control and honestly that sounds like a massive headache I dont want to deal with. Has anyone here actually done a wrap on the front end without the car throwing a tantrum? I'm also looking at maybe getting some side steps or running boards because my kids struggle to get in a bit but I read that those can create a ton of drag and eat into the highway efficiency.

My budget is hovering around $1500 for the first round of stuff and I'm hoping to get it sorted before we head out on a big family road trip down the coast next month. I was also considering some new wheels but every aftermarket set I look at seems way heavier than the stock aero wheels and I'm worried I'll lose like 30 miles of range just to look cool. Are there any specific lightweight brands you guys recommend that fit the bolt pattern? Or even just some subtle stuff like window tints or maybe some sleeker mud flaps that actually fit the body lines? I just want it to look a bit more aggressive without ruining the engineering that went into making it efficient...

Are you doing mostly highway miles? Aero drag matters at speed.

Regarding what #2 said about the wrap issues, I totally agree. It is way easier to just swap the actual parts. I am very satisfied with my Chevrolet Performance Black Bowtie Emblems. They snap right in and do not mess with sensors at all. Also, skip the heavy boards and grab some WeatherTech MudFlaps No-Drill DigitalFit. They keep the Seattle muck off the red paint without adding noticeable drag.

Unfortunately, my experience with wrapping the front trim was a bit of a disaster. The vinyl I used was way too thick and kept tripping the proximity sensors, which was super annoying to deal with during commutes. I ended up pulling it off. If you want a cleaner look without the sensor headache, check out WeatherTech MudFlaps for Chevrolet Equinox EV. They fit the body lines perfectly and dont create nearly as much drag as those bulky side steps do.

Honestly, just start with a solid window tint from 3M. It makes the red pop and wont mess with your range or those finicky sensors at all, ngl.
