Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade the stock halogen bulbs on my Dodge Dart because the visibility at night is honestly pretty poor. I’ve been browsing a few options, but I’m worried about flicker issues or getting those annoying 'bulb out' errors on the dash since these cars are picky with CAN bus systems. Does anyone have recommendations for a plug-and-play LED kit that fits well inside the tight housing? I’m hoping to find something with a clean white cutoff that won't blind oncoming traffic. Budget is around $100, but I’m willing to pay more for quality. Which brands have you guys had the best luck with for a lasting upgrade?

Honestly, I'd suggest the GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0 9012 LED Bulbs paired with their specific CAN bus decoders. They have the precise clocking needed for the Dart's projector housings to maintain a clean cutoff without blinding everyone... just make sure to get the GTR Lighting PWM Anti-Flicker Modules too or you'll definitely get dash errors. It's a bit pricey but worth it.
Just sharing my experience: I went through this same headache last year with my Dart. These cars are notoriously finicky because the CAN bus system monitors the exact wattage draw, and if it's too low, you get that strobe light effect or a dash error. I've tried many setups, and honestly, the budget route is a gamble.
In my experience, comparing the cheaper Sealight 9012 LED Bulbs to the more expensive Morimoto 2Step 9012 LED System, the difference in driver quality is huge. The Sealights are great for the price, but I still had to add a separate Morimoto CANbus 9012 Anti-Flicker Harness to stop the flickering. On the other hand, the Diode Dynamics SL1 9012 LED Bulbs are solid because they're engineered to better match the factory focal point, which is crucial for that clean cutoff you mentioned. If you're on a budget, the Sealight combo works, but I’d definitely grab those decoders or you'll be pulling your hair out. Hope this helps!

Hey! I've had my Dart for years and totally get the struggle with those picky CAN bus sensors. In my experience, the best way to avoid flicker is using Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LED Bulbs 9012. They're super high quality and actually fit inside the dust caps. I’ve been running them for two years now—no errors, no blinding people, and honestly, the cutoff is crisp. Seriously, they're worth the extra cash! Good luck!
