To add to the point above: Ive had amazing results with LLumar Platinum PPF Self-Healing on my cars! Honestly it holds up so well and the clarity is fantastic. Miami heat is no joke so you need something tough. Heres my go-to setup:

  • LLumar Valor PPF Hydrophobic 2-in-1
  • CarPro CQuartz Finest Reserve Ceramic Coating The Valor film is amazing because it has the coating built in... super cost-effective too! Youre gonna love that 12Cilindri!

Just catching up on this thread. When you're dealing with a car like the 12Cilindri, the priority should be long-term adhesion and ease of maintenance rather than just the flashiest brand name. Lifting edges like you had on the Roma usually come down to the tension used during the install or the surface prep not being thorough enough for the Miami humidity. Specific options worth looking into for a balanced setup:

  • SunTek Ultra Paint Protection Film 8mil is a very stable choice. It lacks the built-in top coat of more expensive versions, which actually helps the adhesive bond better at the wrapped edges.
  • Ceramic Pro ION Coating is a newer two-component system. It creates a much more durable layer than their older 9H stuff and stands up well to heavy UV exposure. The key is making sure the installer doesnt over-stretch the film around the complex curves of the new front end. If the film is under too much tension, its gonna pull back eventually regardless of the brand. Also, make sure they use a dedicated edge sealer on the high-stress areas like the wheel arches. Its a bit more work for them, but its the best way to prevent that peeling you're worried about. Honestly, a mid-range film installed perfectly is better than a top-tier film installed poorly. Just make sure the shop has experience with the specific paint chemistry Ferrari is using lately.

Unfortunately, Xpel has had serious adhesion issues lately. For the 12Cilindri, I would skip it.

Man, I totally feel your frustration with those lifting edges! It completely ruins the look of a car like the 12Cilindri. Since you're in Miami, you absolutely need something that won't cook or peel under that brutal Florida sun. Honestly, I swear by 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film Pro Series 8mil. It's basically the gold standard for a reason. 3M has been in the adhesive game forever, and their Pro Series stuff is incredibly stable. It doesn't shrink as much as other brands, which is usually why those edges start lifting on you in the first place. I've had it on my last three builds and it hasn't budged an inch! Fantastic stuff. For the coating, if you want that amazing liquid glass look for a Ferrari, you absolutely have to go with Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass Coating. It's not just some cheap spray-on; it creates a thick, hard layer that is insanely resistant to chemicals and heat. It's a bit more of an investment upfront compared to the basic consumer stuff, but for a 12Cilindri, you really shouldn't cut corners on the protection. Pro tip tho... make sure your installer does a custom bulk install instead of using pre-cut kits. They can tuck the edges way deeper into the panels that way, so you won't see those ugly lines where the film ends. That's usually the real secret to stopping the lift! Congrats on the new ride, it's gonna be a total beast!
