So I finally got my Purosangue delivered last week after waiting forever and honestly I am already stressed out just looking at the thing in my driveway. I have owned plenty of front engine Ferraris like the 812 so I am used to the usual front end rock chips but this car is a different beast entirely with how wide those rear haunches are and the way the wheel arches are styled. I live out in a part of Connecticut where the roads are basically 50 percent salt and gravel this time of year and I am terrified of the first drive.
I was talking to my detailer about doing a full wrap but he is being super hesitant because of the active suspension components and all the intricate trim pieces around the wheel wells and I am just getting frustrated because nobody seems to have a template ready for this thing yet. My logic was that I would just do a full body PPF and call it a day but then I realized the interior is gonna be a nightmare too since I am actually planning to use this as a daily driver which means kids in the back and groceries and all that. The rear suicide doors look cool but I can already see my kids kicking the door panels or scuffing that weird fabric material on the way out.
I have about 10k set aside for protection before I take it on a big road trip to Maine next month so I need to move fast. Here is what I am looking for:
I feel like I am flying blind here because the car is so new and the dealer was basically like just drive it which is easy for them to say when they arent the ones seeing the depreciation from a ruined interior...
Like someone mentioned, the leather scent is easy to mess up. I remember my first winter drive in a wide car... the rear arches got shredded by road salt because I waited too long. You might want to consider:
TL;DR: Get custom carpets. Are you rocking carbon or painted arches? I'm satisfied with Lloyd Mats Luxe Custom Fit Carpet because thick piles trap grit safely while keeping things quiet.
I just finished prepping mine and honestly I am happy with the results. I tested two coatings for the leather because I wanted to be sure.
Are you worried about the leather smell changing? Dr. Beasley's Leather Lock Kit is great for durability, but Colourlock Leather Shield 150ml keeps it softer. They're both reliable. Lmk if you need more info.
