I’m beyond excited to finally have my Genesis GV60 in the garage! It’s an incredible ride, but I’m currently stuck using the slow Level 1 charger and definitely need a faster home setup. Since the GV60 has that 800V architecture and a 10.9 kW onboard charger, I want something that can actually take advantage of those speeds. I’m torn between a hardwired unit like the ChargePoint Home Flex or something more portable like the Grizzl-E. Does anyone have experience with which brands play best with the Genesis software for scheduled charging? I’m looking to spend under $700 if possible. Which Level 2 charger would you recommend for the best reliability and charging speed for this specific car?

For your GV60, I'd definitely go with the ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 WiFi Enabled 240V EV Charger. Honestly, I had issues with the Grizzl-E Classic Level 2 EV Charger 40 Amp software syncing with the Genesis app for scheduled charging, which was super frustrating... The ChargePoint is more reliable for that 48A hardwired speed.

I went through this last year. Honestly, I was super nervous about the 10.9 kW onboard charger on my GV60 and didn't want to overspend or, worse, fry something. I ended up looking for budget-friendly alternatives that still hit that 48A sweet spot for the best speeds.

I compared the Emporia Level 2 EV Charger 48 Amp UL Listed against the Wallbox Pulsar Plus 48 Amp Level 2 EV Charger. The Emporia is a steal at around $399, while the Wallbox is usually $600+.

Pros/Cons:
- **Emporia**: Super cheap, great energy monitoring, but the cable is a bit stiff in the cold.
- **Wallbox**: Very compact and looks cool, but a bit pricier.

I ended up with the Emporia and it's been decent, though I still use the Genesis app for scheduling just to be safe. Anyway, back to your question—if you want to stay under $700, there are definitely solid options beyond the usual big names.

TL;DR: I found the Emporia Level 2 EV Charger 48 Amp UL Listed to be the most budget-friendly way to get max speeds without breaking the bank.

I remember when I first got into EVs, I went for a flashy smart charger that basically became a brick every time my router rebooted. Waking up to a 10% battery because the software glitched is the worst feeling. If you want something that will literally never fail you, honestly check out the Enphase IQ 60 EV Charger 48A Hardwired. It used to be under the ClipperCreek brand, and those things are basically industrial grade. They dont have the fanciest app interface, but the hardware reliability is legendary. To get that full 10.9 kW your GV60 can handle, you definitely need to go hardwired on a 60A circuit. I have had mine mounted in a spot that gets hit by rain and snow constantly, and it hasnt missed a single session in three years. It handles the handshake with the Genesis software perfectly every time without any drama. If you just want it to work when you plug it in, this is easily the most reliable pick for the money.

Seconding the recommendation above. Honestly, the ChargePoint is solid, but if you're looking to save some cash, definitely avoid the cheap no-name units on Amazon. I've seen too many people regret those!

Warning: Make sure you don't use a NEMA 14-50 plug for a 48A draw—it'll melt. To hit that 11kW speed on your GV60, you MUST hardwire the Tesla Universal Wall Connector Level 2 Hardwired EV Charger. It's actually great for Genesis too! Hope this helps!
