So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 Mojave after years in my JLU and honestly I'm stoked to finally have a bed but it’s a whole different ballgame for gear. I’m planning a trip to Moab in about three weeks so I need to get this sorted fast. I’ve been looking at the usual suspects like BillieBars or the Leitner Active Cargo System but I’m kinda worried about the weight. I’ve heard some racks don’t play nice with the Mojave’s specific frame reinforcements or the way the Fox internal bypass shocks handle the rebound when you’re loaded down. I really want to keep it light enough so I don't lose that high-speed desert stability but I still need to mount my traction boards and maybe a slim rtt later on. Budget is around 2k for the rack and maybe some basic storage boxes. Anyone running the Decked system with a mid-height rack on a Mojave specifically? I saw some guy on a trail last week saying his rack was rattling like crazy because of the desert tuned suspension being so soft compared to the Rubicon. Just looking for something that wont fall apart when I’m hitting washboards at 40mph...

I ran into similar weight issues with my Mojave during a trek across the Mojave Road last year. Those Fox shocks are amazing, but they definitely sag once you pile on heavy steel racks. I found that BillieBars 6 inch Bed Bars for Gladiator is a decent option since they are lightweight aluminum. For storage, the DECKED Drawer System Jeep Gladiator is great for organization, but it adds nearly 200 lbs dry. I ended up using Plano 68 Quart Storage Trunk units strapped down instead. It works well for keeping the weight down so the suspension doesnt bottom out on high-speed washboards. It depends on your needs, but mounting traction boards to the bars kept everything quiet for me. This setup is way under your 2k budget and still fits a slim RTT. Keeping the bed light is a solid way to maintain that desert stability.

Catching up on this. ^ This. Also, honestly id actually avoid a full rack if youre hitting washboards fast. They can act like tuning forks. Maybe check out BuiltRight Industries Bed Side Rack System instead. Pair it with Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro boxes on the floor. It keeps the weight low so you dont stress those Fox shocks, plus it is a decent option if you want to save money.

stumbled on this and i am really satisfied with the Rough Country Low Profile Bed Rack Aluminum since it stays light. i spent hours on jeepgladiatorforum checking weight charts... definitely go aluminum to keep those fox shocks happy. for storage, i just use a Roam Adventure Co 82L Rugged Case strapped down. it is way cheaper than a permanent system and wont rattle your teeth out on washboards.
