Hey everyone! I just recently pulled the trigger on a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit, and I’m absolutely in love with the interior. The quilted Palermo leather and those wood accents are incredible, but I really want to protect the cabin while adding a few functional upgrades that don’t ruin the high-end luxury vibe.
I’m looking for recommendations that feel 'OEM+' rather than cheap aftermarket add-ons. Specifically, I’m on the hunt for some premium floor mats—something that offers great protection against mud and spills but looks a bit more refined and sleek than the standard chunky rubber ones you'd find in a work truck. I’ve also been looking into center console organizers because that deep bin can become a cluttered mess pretty quickly, and I'd love something that fits like it came from the factory.
I’m also curious if people are using screen protectors for the large Uconnect display to help with fingerprints, or if there are any subtle storage solutions for the cargo area that keep things from sliding around on the nice carpeting. What are your absolute must-have interior accessories that actually match the quality of the Summit trim?
I've found TuxMat Custom Car Mats ($200) look way sleeker than WeatherTech FloorLiner HP ($130) or OEM; plus a $15 Vesul Center Console Organizer is honestly essential for WL.
Ok so, I went through this last year when I picked up my WL. I totally get the struggle of wanting to protect that gorgeous interior without making it look cheap. I spent forever looking for that "Goldilocks" balance between protection and style.
Here is what I looked at during my journey:
• 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mat vs the bulky rubber options. Tbh, the 3D MAXpider looks way more "luxury" because of the textured finish—it doesnt have that industrial vibe that some other brands have. It cost a bit more, but it’s worth it for the Summit trim.
• For the cargo area, I compared the Mopar OEM Cargo Tray against the Canvasback Custom Cargo Liner. The Mopar tray is solid for mud, but I liked the Canvasback more because it covers the seat backs too, which is great for hauling stuff.
I eventually settled on the 3D mats and a JKCOVER Center Console Organizer Tray. It feels SO much more organized now and actually looks factory. Cheers!
Check out the Mopar official catalog for parts. Honestly, go with Spigen for ur glass... i've found their stuff is way safer for the screen over the years. definately keeps things looking factory!
Honestly, I've had a pretty rough time finding stuff that actually matches the Summit trim quality. Most things I've bought ended up looking like cheap plastic once they're actually in the cabin, unfortunately. I tried some of the premium liners everyone raves about, but they felt flimsy and shifted around under my feet, which is a total safety concern for me. The fitment just wasn't as precise as I expected for the price point.
Would love to know this too
Basically, if you're aiming for that "OEM+" vibe, you gotta look at the actual technical specs of the materials. Most of the rubber mats people recommend are TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer), which is fine for a Laredo, but for the Summit, I’d look into Lloyd Mats Luxe Carpet Floor Mats. Based on my market research, these have a much higher face weight—like 48 ounces of yarn per yard—than the factory stuff. It significantly helps with sound dampening and feels way more plush underfoot without looking like you're ready to hose out the cabin. Pretty sure they're the thickest aftermarket carpets available right now. Also, for that big screen, I did a deep dive into the hardness ratings and touch sensitivity. I'm honestly leaning towards the Supershieldz Matte Screen Protector because the anti-glare properties are essential for that 10.1-inch Uconnect display. The factory screen is a fingerprint magnet and the matte finish handles the sunlight hitting those wood accents way better than the glossy glass ones, even if the pixel clarity takes a microscopic hit. It just looks more integrated and less like an iPad glued to the dash!!!
