[Solved] Best wireless phone charger upgrades for the Lincoln Aviator?

Hey everyone! I’m absolutely loving my Lincoln Aviator so far, but I’ve been having a bit of a struggle with the factory wireless charging setup. The placement in the center console is a bit awkward for my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and honestly, the charging speed is pretty disappointing. It seems like it barely keeps the battery level steady when I'm using wireless Apple CarPlay, let alone actually increasing the percentage during a long drive.

Another major issue is the heat; my phone gets incredibly hot after about twenty minutes in that vertical slot, and then it often just stops charging altogether to protect the battery. I’ve been looking for an upgrade that offers better wattage and perhaps a design that allows for more airflow to keep things cool. I really want to avoid messy cables running everywhere because the Aviator’s interior is so clean and premium, so I'm hoping for something that looks integrated.

Has anyone found a high-quality aftermarket charging pad or a specific cradle that fits well in the Aviator’s layout? I’m specifically looking for something that supports fast charging and can handle larger phones without the constant overheating headache. Any recommendations for brands or specific retrofit kits that actually deliver a reliable charge?

In my experience, you gotta be careful with internal retrofit pads cuz they can over-heat ur dash and mess with wiring. I would suggest the ESR MagSafe Car Mount Charger with CryoBoost because the cooling fan stops that thermal throttling you're seeing. It's way safer for your phone's battery and actually charges much faster, you know? gl!

Respectfully, I'd consider another option. Honestly, mounts kinda ruin the clean dash and ur 15 Pro Max is sooo heavy. I've had issues with heat on every "integrated" pad... basically a waste of money. 1. Anker 523 Charger Nano 3 45W USB-C + a short cable. Best value, way faster. 2. Carqiwireless Wireless Charging Pad for Lincoln Aviator. Looks stock but still gets hot. But yeah, cables are unfortunately better for battery health. 👍
