Are window deflectors noisy on the Mazda CX-30 at highway speeds?

I’m looking to add deflectors to my CX-30 for better airflow when it rains, but I’m worried about whistling. I do a lot of 75 mph commuting and don't want to ruin the quiet cabin. Are the OEM low-profile ones better for noise than aftermarket? Has anyone noticed a big increase in wind buffeting?

Hey! Soooo I totally get the struggle cuz I’m pretty new to modding my car too, but I literally just went through this. For your situation, I would suggest going with the Mazda CX-30 OEM Slimline Window Deflectors over the cheaper stuff you find on Amazon.

I was worried about the whistling too because I commute on the highway at like 70 or 80 mph every single day. Honestly, the OEM ones are super low-profile and basically follow the trim lines of the car, so they don't catch the wind as much. I mean, is there a *tiny* bit more wind noise? Maybe if you really listen for it, but it’s definitely not a loud whistle. It’s more like a faint hum that the radio easily covers up. Plus, they look so much sleeker than the chunky aftermarket ones that stick out like 2 inches. I honestly think they're worth the extra cash for the quietness alone... gl with ur choice! 👍

I went through this last year because I’m super picky about wind noise. Honestly, I did a deep dive into market options because I didn't want that annoying whistle at 75mph. I compared the Auto Ventshade AVS Low Profile Ventvisor against the factory ones, and while the AVS is solid, the Mazda CX-30 OEM Side Window Deflectors actually use a specific clip-and-tape system that stays way quieter. My experience? The OEM ones are literally silent even at high speeds, whereas some cheaper tape-on sets I've seen on friends' cars tend to flutter!

I went through this last year... basically was torn between the price of generic sets and the Mazda CX-30 OEM Window Deflectors. Honestly, I ended up going OEM cuz they're low-profile and fit the window trim perfectly. At 75 mph, there’s a TINY bit more wind noise than stock, but it's more like a faint hum than a whistle. Quick tip: make sure the adhesive is 100% seated or it'll definitely howl!
