I just took delivery of a brand new Mazda CX-5 and I’m absolutely loving the premium feel of the cabin! Since I want to keep it looking pristine for as long as possible, I’m looking for some essential interior accessories. I’ve already been looking at all-weather floor mats because the OEM carpet ones seem a bit thin, and I definitely need an organizer for that deep center console—it feels like a black hole right now! Are there any specific brands or must-have items you guys recommend to protect the leather or improve organization? What were the first interior mods or accessories you bought for your CX-5?
Totally agree with the above! That console tray is basically mandatory lol. Ngl, the Mazda interior is gorgeous but some surfaces are pretty scratch-prone if you aren't careful. If ur looking for high-end protection on a budget, I suggest looking at Husky Liners WeatherBeater Floor Mats for Mazda CX-5. They use a proprietary rubberized thermoplastic (TPE) that's basically just as durable as the bigger name brands but usually costs less. Also, you definitely wanna grab a CDEFG 10.25 Inch Navigation Screen Protector for that infotainment display. It's 9H hardness tempered glass... it prevents those tiny micro-scratches from dust and fingernails that show up over time. For the leather and dash, I'd suggest 303 Aerospace Protectant 16oz. It’s technically a UV blocker rather than just a greasy dressing, so it wont leave that shiny residue that actually attracts more dirt. Just make sure to use Chemical Guys Workhorse Professional Microfiber Towels on the piano black trim parts so you dont swirl 'em up immediately. Enjoy the new ride, gl!! 👍
yo, congrats on the new ride! honestly, I went through this exact same thing last year. i was super paranoid about keeping that premium feel without breaking the bank... i mean, those mazda interiors are basically magnets for scratches if youre not careful. I actually spent way too much time researching the technical specs on floor mat retention systems cuz i was worried about them sliding under the pedals—*safety first*, right?? instead of the really expensive brands mentioned earlier, I ended up finding the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series Floor Mat for 2024 Mazda CX-5 which cost me about $140 for the full set. They have this patented MAXpider fiber backing that's literally so much safer than the generic rubber ones that tend to shift around on the carpet. also, for that "black hole" console, i picked up a JDMSPEED Center Console Organizer Tray for Mazda CX-5 for like $15. basically a steal. i also worried about the door sills getting thrashed when people get in and out, so i grabbed some XPEL Door Sill Guard Universal Clear Film 60-inch for around $20. it's kinda technical to apply if you want it bubble-free, but way cheaper than those bulky metal plates and it keeps the look clean. i guess my journey was mostly about finding that balance between bulletproof protection and not spending a fortune. i even found a budget-friendly Vesul Rear Cargo Boot Liner Mat for Mazda CX-5 for $60 that fits the technical dimensions perfectly. it's been super reliable so far and hasn't let me down. hope that helps ur build! gl with the new car tho!! 👍
In my experience, OEM carpets wear fast. To keep ur resale value high, I suggest:
- High-wall liners
- Console tray
They're essential cuz that console is a black hole, lol. idk why!!
Jumping in here!! I went through this last year and it was literally a struggle to keep it clean. 1. I used high-wall rubber liners; they're way better than the carpet ones at catching spills.
2. I got a tiered tray for the console... honestly it saved my life!!
3. I also put a tempered glass protector on the screen. It has worked so well for me so far, right? Definately keeps it looking amazing!
