Got a 2019 ND and the body roll is driving me crazy on these San Diego backroads. I have about $1,200 to spend before a club meet next month and I'm stuck between two routes.

I'm looking at getting the Progress sway bars and a set of Continental tires, or just going straight for the Flyin Miata Koni stage 1 kit. The tires on it now are pretty meh so the first option is tempting but everyone says the stock shocks are the real weak link. If I go with the Konis I cant afford new rubber for a while. Which one actually makes the car feel more planted without making it a nightmare to daily?

Coming back to this, I spent years tuning my ND suspension and found that people sleep on the bump stops. They are crucial because the ND sits on them early in a turn. I paired Flyin Miata Progressive Bump Stops ND with Koni Sport Yellow Adjustable Shocks Mazda ND and the difference was night and day. It stays way under your budget and leaves cash for a good alignment too.

^ This. Also, I really think the tire upgrade is the biggest safety move you can make for the car. There was one time I was driving my ND on the stock rubber during a surprise storm on the freeway and it was genuinely sketchy... just felt like I had zero connection to the pavement. I eventually swapped over to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 215/45R17 and I've been so happy with the stability. Everything just feels more controlled now, especially in wet conditions. If you want to keep the car reliable as a daily, dont sacrifice grip for fancy shocks just yet. Quick tip: pair those tires with a Cusco Front Strut Tower Bar Type OS ND to stiffen the front end just a bit more without ruining the ride quality. It really helps the steering feel more precise when you're hitting those curves.

Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!

In my experience, tires are the single biggest upgrade for an ND. Body roll is annoying but bad rubber kills the fun, tbh. I'd go with the sway bars and tires combo first. It stays comfy for daily driving but feels much flatter.
