So I finally took delivery of the Juniper Model Y here in Seattle and man the new interior is sleek but it feels kinda empty. Ive had a Model 3 for five years so I thought I knew the drill but the new console layout and that ambient light strip totally change the vibe.

My logic was to just grab some cheap floor mats like I did before but with the rainy weather here I probably need something better that fits the new footwell dimensions perfectly since I heard they tweaked them. Also looking for a tray that fits the new deep console bin without rattling around. Since theres no stalks now Im wondering if anyones found a good way to organize the dash area without it looking cluttered. Any specific brands updated their molds for the refresh yet?

Re: "Just saw this thread and honestly you're spot..." The new layout is kind of a change of pace. Are you planning on doing much road tripping or just commuting? If you want to keep the dash clean without stalks, check out Enhance S3XY Buttons Commander for Tesla Model Y Refresh for shortcuts. Quick tip: the under-seat space changed, so Basenor Under Seat Storage Box for Tesla Model Y is great for hiding extra clutter.

Congrats on the delivery! The Juniper refresh is a bit of a curveball since they changed the floor pan geometry slightly. You gotta be careful with older mats because the lip wont seal properly against the center pillar, which is a nightmare for Seattle rain. I would suggest looking at these specific options:

Be careful with pedal clearance. My last mats slid and jammed the accelerator, which was terrifying tbh.

  • check fitment
  • prioritize grip Its just not worth the risk.

Just saw this thread and honestly you're spot on about the geometry changes. I noticed the driver side footwell has a slightly more aggressive taper near the pedals than the pre-refresh version. If the mats dont have that high-wall TPE construction, you're gonna have water seeping into the carpet within a week in Seattle. I'm really satisfied with how much quieter the Juniper cabin is, but the trade-off is that it makes every little rattle in the console stand out way more. I found that sticking to accessories with a soft rubberized or silicone finish works well to keep things silent. The hard plastic trays are a nightmare on bumpy roads and basically negate the point of the new acoustic glass. Also, be careful with dash organizers since the new ambient light strip reflects off everything now... keep it low profile so it doesnt catch the glare.
