Where can I find a Tesla Model Y Juniper for sale nearby?

I've been driving my 2021 Long Range for about three years now and honestly I love the thing but it's starting to show its age a bit with the suspension and the road noise. I've been tracking the Highland refresh on the Model 3 for a while so I know exactly what kind of upgrades to expect with the Juniper refresh for the Y. I was really hoping to trade mine in and drop another 20k to get the new interior and the ventilated seats before our big road trip to Bend in August.

Problem is I'm seeing all these leaks and people saying they are already in production but every time I check the inventory around Bellevue or even down in Renton it's just the old stock. I even talked to a sales advisor who acted like they didn't know what I was talking about which is just classic Tesla. My lease is up soon and I really want to see the new dampening in person before I commit to another three years. Is anyone seeing these actually hit the lots yet or am I just getting ahead of myself? I keep checking the site daily but maybe there is a specific tracker people are using for the new VINs? Where can I actually find a Juniper for sale or even just to test drive around the PNW...

ngl you are definitely getting ahead of yourself on the Juniper refresh. I have been following these launch cycles for years and the reality is that it wont hit PNW showrooms by August. Those production leaks you are seeing are mostly from Giga Shanghai, and Tesla usually takes months to transition the US lines over at Giga Texas or Fremont. Here is the direct situation as it stands:

  • No Juniper VINs have been confirmed in the US inventory yet. Right now, Bellevue and Renton are only carrying the current Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD 2024 units.
  • Sales advisors are trained to stay quiet about unreleased refreshes. They are focused on moving the existing Tesla Model Y Performance 21-inch Überturbine stock before the end of the quarter.
  • Use a site like WaitingForTesla to track incoming inventory. It is way more reliable for spotting new hardware revisions than the standard Tesla site.
  • If the suspension and road noise are the dealbreakers for your Bend trip, the Tesla Model 3 Highland Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive is the only thing with the new dampening tech currently available in the US. imo it is better to wait. The current Tesla Model Y RWD 2024 has some minor comfort tweaks compared to your 2021, but it is not the full overhaul you are looking for. Dont drop 20k now just to miss out on the actual refresh by a few months. Just keep checking the TMC forums for the first real North American VIN sightings...

@Reply #2 - good point! Honestly, looking at other brands makes sense when Tesla is being so vague, but the budget side of this is what really worries me. I have been down this rabbit hole before where I waited for a refresh that kept getting pushed back... ended up wasting months of driving time in a car I was bored with. The short answer is you wont find a Juniper in the PNW yet, definitely not before your August trip. Technical truth is, youre looking at a huge financial hit for mostly cosmetic changes. If your main gripes are just the noise and the bumps, you might want to consider some aftermarket fixes instead of dropping $20k. I actually spent about $600 on a Hansshow Tesla Model Y Soundproof Seal Kit and some trunk insulation, and it cut the decibels down noticeably on the highway. For the suspension, I would suggest looking at Tein EnduraPro Plus Dampers for Model Y before you commit to a whole new car. Theyre way cheaper than a trade-in and actually handle better than the stock setup. Be careful with those production leaks too. Tesla loves to clear out old inventory before making an official announcement. If youre really trying to save money for that Bend trip, maybe just grab a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 255/45R19 tires. Theyre way quieter than the stock ones and might give you that new car feel for a fraction of the cost. Tbh it just seems risky to bank on a summer release that hasnt even been teased yet.

id be a bit nervous counting on an unconfirmed launch for a big trip. seems risky. if you really need a new ride before august, maybe look at the Hyundai IONIQ 5 Limited AWD 2024. its super quiet and has those ventilated seats you want. plus you actually know itll be in the driveway before you head to bend... its a solid, reliable choice.
