For Toyota Camry XLE I would definitely recommend Nextbase 622GW Dash Cam. The design is beautiful The ergonomic design allows for comfortable use.

Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 is my recommendation for Toyota Camry XLE. Works great!

Have you thought about the installation? For Toyota Camry XLE some products are easier to install than others.

Thinkware U1000 Dash Cam is definitely the best choice for Toyota Camry XLE. The design is modern and sleek The product includes all features you need.

Why this product? The quality convinces in all tests - both for performance and for durability. Unbeatable for the price, can only recommend. Have already used it for several months, always satisfied. Also more than sufficient for demanding driving conditions.

For Toyota Camry XLE I would also consider the brand. Do you need OEM or aftermarket?

Honestly, before jumping into gear, we really need to know the model year of your XLE. The integration process for a 2012 is WIDELY different than a 2020 because of the factory Entune head unit pinouts and harness configurations. Are you looking to display the feed on your stock screen or are you planning on upgrading the head unit too? If you want something that the community generally swears by for reliability: * NATIKA Backup Camera - This is basically the gold standard for aftermarket clarity right now. It uses a high-res CMOS sensor and the IP69K rating is legit for weather sealing.
* Master Tailgaters OEM Replacement Camera - If your XLE already has the housing but the lens is shot, these are usually a direct plug-and-play fit for Toyota harnesses.
* Auto-Vox CS-2 Wireless Backup Camera - If you want to avoid the headache of fishing a video cable through the entire cabin and trunk lining (which is a total pain on the Camry). Just a heads up: check if you need a 12V to 6V step-down converter. A lot of Toyota factory systems output 6V to the camera, so if you hook up a standard 12V aftermarket unit, it wont even power on.

Late to the party but just wanted to chime in. Everyone has been suggesting everything from dash cams to phone mounts, but if you are just looking for a reliable backup feed without spending a fortune, you gotta keep it simple. Like Ember mentioned, your Camrys year is the biggest factor for the harness and integration. If you want a solid budget pick that wont fail on you after the first car wash, I usually suggest the eRapta ERT01 Backup Camera. Its basically the go-to for a cheap but durable replacement. Just be really careful with the DIY wiring tho... poor connections are the number one cause of these things failing or causing electrical shorts. Safety is the priority here, so make sure your viewing angle is wide enough to actually see what is behind you before you drill any holes. Good luck with the install!

Yep, this is the way

Honestly, catching up on this thread and its just frustrating seeing what we have to deal with now. Its such a scam how car electronics have gone downhill.

  • The signal-to-noise ratio on these modern CMOS sensors is honestly pathetic for the price they charge.
  • Unfortunately, most manufacturers are using sub-par weather sealing that doesnt meet basic IP ratings despite what the sticker says.
  • The harness pinouts are becoming unnecessarily complex just to force people into buying proprietary adapters.
  • Had issues with frame rate drops on several units because the processing chips are total bottom-of-the-barrel junk. It reminds me of when I tried to fix my old gas grill last summer... spent a fortune on specialized burner tubes that were basically just thin aluminum. Everything is designed to be disposable these days and it drives me crazy. I miss when things were built to actually last more than two years without falling apart. But yeah, hang in there and keep looking, you will find a way to make it work eventually.

For Toyota Camry XLE I would definitely pay attention to the compatibility, especially if it's about electronics.
