Like someone mentioned, the iOttie is a popular pick, but honestly, I have been so disappointed with how most mounts actually hold up in a 4Runner. I have gone through three different setups this year alone and they all had issues with the dash texture or just vibrating loose. It is honestly frustrating when you think you found a good one and it just fails on a hot day or a bumpy road. My experience so far:

• Generic vent clips are a nightmare with our thick slats
• Suction mounts never stay stuck to the textured plastic on our dashes
