So I finally pulled the trigger on a new Escalade Premium Luxury and man I am so hyped about this truck but I am already stressing about the interior getting trashed because winter is coming early here in Denver and the salt and slush are no joke. I have been a die-hard WeatherTech guy for my last three SUVs because they usually fit like a glove but I was looking at the 2024 layout and it seems like the center console that slides back and forth might cause some clearance issues with the higher lip on those mats. I checked out TuxMat because people keep saying they look more premium for a Caddy but I am worried they might be too thick or pillowy and look weird with the leather. Then there are the OEM ones from the dealership but they always seem a bit thin compared to the aftermarket stuff even though they have the cool logo. I need something that covers the dead pedal area really well because thats where most of the salt buildup happens on my boots and I dont want to ruin the carpet in a 100k car. Does anyone have the 3D Maxpider or the Husky X-act Contours in their V-series or standard ESV? I really need to know which ones actually stay put and dont slide around when kids are climbing into the third row...
I had a close call with a sliding mat once, so I'm big on safety.
Building on the earlier suggestion, you really gotta be careful with how much material sits near that sliding console track. I've seen some thick mats actually burn out the motor because they bunch up.
Make sure to watch that console clearance. I switched to 3D MAXpider KAGU All-Weather Floor Mats because the slim profile wont snag, but still protects the dead pedal area well.
Yo, congrats on the new Escalade! Living in Denver myself, I totally get the anxiety about that first big snow hitting. I have gone through a bunch of mats and honestly, that sliding console is the biggest pain point for the newer models. If you want that dead pedal fully covered, I would suggest looking at Husky Liners X-act Contour Front Floor Mats 53041. They are way softer than the classic rigid plastic ones and they really hug the edges without being too stiff. One quick tip tho: if you go with the TuxMat Custom Car Mats for Cadillac Escalade, dont worry about them looking too thick or pillowy. They actually match the stitched leather interior way better than the industrial look of most other brands. They have more of a premium texture that feels right in a luxury truck. For the kids jumping into the back, the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Mats are a decent option because they have that grippy backing that keeps them from sliding around when people are climbing in and out. Just make sure you double check your seating config before ordering because the center aisle fitment is where most people mess up. I tried the OEM ones at the dealer and they just didnt have enough lip height for the heavy slush we get... definitely go aftermarket if you want to keep that carpet mint.
@Reply #5 - good point! Safety is honestly everything when you're dealing with these motorized consoles. Saw a guy last year at a meet who actually fried his console motor because a thick mat got bunched up in the track. Not a cheap fix, let me tell you. Since I do most of my own interior work, I've gotten pretty picky about fitment. If you're still on the fence, here are two you might want to consider:
