I just took delivery of my 12Cilindri Spider and want to ensure the battery stays topped off. Since it uses a specific lithium setup, I am worried my old Ctek might not work with the magnetic connection. For your situation, I would suggest the CTEK Lithium US 12V Charger. Unfortunately, I've had issues with the official gear failing prematurely... it's not as good as expected. The Ferrari Genuine Lithium Ion Battery Tender is basically a rebrand with a huge markup. Use the MagCode PowerClick 12V Pro Connector instead. It meets all industry standards, but I'd consult a tech to verify the pinout before connecting it to your car. gl!
This^ Also wanted to add that the Victron BlueSmart IP65 12V 5A Lithium-ready Battery Charger is a total pro move if ur worried about safety. Honestly, I've seen OEM units fail and it's highkey scary for such an expensive car lol. It's way cheaper than the Ferrari-branded one but actually safer for the cells imo. Just double check the MagCode pinout first... you literally dont wanna risk those electronics!! Peace
Just saw this thread and congrats! For your situation, I would suggest being really careful. I think there are specialized aftermarket lithium maintainers with magnetic pigtails, but im not 100% sure if the pinout matches the Ferrari port yet. Over the years, Ive tried many and seen non-OEM gear throw codes on these sensitive ECUs. Honestly, maybe ask a pro installer about a custom setup instead of risking the factory electronics. Better safe than sorry tho!

Honestly, I get why youre worried cuz these new lithium setups are super finicky and highkey expensive to replace if you mess up the cells with the wrong voltage. In my experience with these newer V12s, you really gotta be careful. Your old Ctek probably wont cut it because the charging profile for lithium is totally different from lead-acid or AGM. Basically, if you use the wrong one, you might actually cook the battery management system... which is a total nightmare to fix. I would suggest just biting the bullet and getting the Ferrari Genuine Lithium-Ion Battery Tender. I know it is way more expensive than a standard charger, but it comes with the exact magnetic connector and the software is tuned specifically for the car's electronics. If you really want aftermarket, the CTEK Lithium XS 12V 5A Battery Charger is the way to go, but then you have to mess around with a third-party Ferrari Magnetic Charging Adapter to make it fit the port. Tbh, I have been using the official ones for years on my 812 and now the Purosangue. It is just easier and you dont have to worry about the dealer being a pain about the warranty if a module fries. Just make sure the magnetic pins are clean before you pop it on or it wont seat right... seen that happen a lot. Anyway, gl with the new ride!! 👍
