I’ve been loving my Elantra N, but I’m finally ready to unlock a bit more power. I’m looking for the best 'bang-for-your-buck' bolt-ons that won't immediately void my warranty. I'm specifically curious about high-flow intakes and stage 1 tunes. Has anyone noticed a real difference with an inlet pipe or an upgraded intercooler? What’s the best first performance mod to start with?

In my experience, you gotta start with the SXTH Element Engineering Elantra N Gen 2 Intake and the SXTH Element Engineering Elantra N Turbo Inlet. Honestly, it's the best bang-for-your-buck combo because it lets the turbo breathe and sounds sick without flagging ur warranty like a stage 1 tune might. Basically, start there!!

Honestly, I get the itch for more power, but I'm always a bit cautious about the warranty stuff... it's a huge deal on these N cars! If you're looking for solid gains without the stress, I'd HIGHLY recommend starting with an upgraded intercooler. The stock one heat soaks sooo fast, basically killing your power after one or two pulls.

I've seen amazing results with the Forge Motorsport Hyundai Elantra N Intercooler Upgrade or the Wagner Tuning Hyundai Elantra N Competition Intercooler Kit. They're fantastic because they keep temps low, which the ECU loves!! Plus, it's a physical part, so it's not like you're messing with the ECU software like a stage 1 tune would.

Also, if you want that turbo to breathe better, maybe look at the AEM Cold Air Intake System for Hyundai Elantra N as a solid alternative to what was mentioned before. Just be careful and maybe chat with your service advisor first? Better safe than sorry, but man, the difference in consistency is highkey worth it! gl!

Honestly, if youre worried about warranty but want better response, i'd suggest getting the Whiteline KDT975 Rear Lower Torque Arm Bushing. It basically kills wheel hop and makes the car feel way more connected for under $50. Plus, the dealer wont care about a bushing upgrade lol.

Unfortunately, tunes often push timing too hard safely. Pro tip: grab OBDLink LX Bluetooth to log data first; knowing your oil temps and octane learning status is actually vital, right?
