Hey everyone! I recently picked up a 2021 Mazda3 and while I absolutely love the sleek interior design, the stock halogen bulbs in the cabin feel a bit dated and dim. I'm really looking to modernize the vibe with some crisp white or cool blue LED interior lighting, but I’m seeing a huge price range online.

I’ve checked out some premium kits that are pushing $60-$80, which feels a bit steep for just a few bulbs. On the flip side, some of the super cheap sets on Amazon have reviews saying they flicker or don't quite fit the map light housing of the Gen 4 models. I’m looking for that middle ground—something affordable but reliable that won't throw any error codes or burn out in a month. Ideally, I'd like a full kit that covers the map lights, dome light, vanity mirrors, and the trunk.

Has anyone here found a specific brand or seller that offers a good balance of quality and price for the Mazda3? I’d love to hear about your experiences with installation and if you noticed any issues with the dimming feature after the swap. Which specific LED kit would you recommend for someone on a budget who still wants a premium look?

Honestly, I've been through this with my last two Mazdas and basically found that the SuperBrightLEDs site is the sweet spot. I mean, you could go with a cheap Amazon kit, but those flicker like CRAZY after a month lol. I spent maybe $30-40 total buying individual bulbs there instead of a "kit," and they've lasted years. The dimming still works perfectly too, which is usually the main issue with the super cheap stuff. Just double-check your manual for the bulb sizes first!

Honestly, i agree with the first reply about avoiding cheap Amazon junk. But instead of a full kit, just buy individual bulbs from LASFIT. Getting the 194s and 31mm festoons separately is way cheaper and the quality is amazing!! You get better lumen output and proper heatsinks for like $30 total. Seriously, its the best way to get that premium vibe on a budget without the flicker. gl!

I'd actually suggest a different approach - just catching up on this thread and honestly, I'm kinda nervous about those mix-and-match bulb sets everyone is mentioning. I mean, I love the enthusiasm, but for a newer 2021 model, I'm super cautious about messing with the electrical load and potentially blowing a fuse or getting that annoying flicker!

Instead of hunting for individual bulbs like Reply #3 said, I highkey recommend going with a dedicated brand like GTR Lighting Carbide Series LED Bulbs. I compared a bunch of market options and these are AMAZING because they're designed for consistency across the whole cabin. If you're looking for that middle ground, check out the VLEDS 5K White Interior LED Kit too. It's a bit more than the Amazon junk but way safer than buying random 194s and hoping for the best... I'd basically suggest checking a professional fitment guide before you pull the trigger though just to be 100% sure!! gl!

Check out Diode Dynamics or Phillips for bulbs that actually last. But wait, r u looking for high-output or just something subtle? Honestly, dont forget to check fitment guides on specialized Mazda forums first!!

To add to the point above: I have tried many different setups over the years and buying individual high-performance bulbs is definitely the pro move for the 4th gen Mazda3. In my experience, a lot of those pre-packaged kits use generic chips with poor thermal management which is why they fail. I have had really solid results using AUXITO 194 LED Light Bulbs 6000K White for the map and dome lights. They have a constant current IC driver which is huge for avoiding that flickering issue people mentioned. For the trunk and vanity mirrors, sticking with something like the AUXITO 31mm Festoon LED Bulb works perfectly. You are looking at maybe 25 bucks total if you shop around for the multi-packs. The lumen output is significantly higher than stock but the draw is low enough that you wont have issues with the car's electrical system. One thing tho... the 4th gen can be picky about the dimming circuit. These specific ones have enough resistance to handle the theater dimming effect without strobing as the voltage drops. Just be careful with the polarity when installing... if they dont light up, just flip them 180 degrees.
