What are the actual best rugged accessories for the Cybertruck because the stuff I bought is failing already? Ive been overlanding for over 10 years in my old Tacoma but this transition is driving me nuts. Im out in the Arizona desert and just did a run through some rocky trails near Sedona and the mud flaps I bought literally snapped off on the first ledge. Plus the underbody protection feels way too thin for actual crawling. I got about 3k left in my budget for this month but I need stuff that wont fall apart by next weekends trip. Are there actually any heavy-duty skid plates or rock sliders that fit the mount points without rattling like crazy? Im honestly so annoyed right now...

Ngl it is super disappointing how much 'rugged' gear for this truck is basically just overpriced plastic. Coming from a Tacoma, you probably expect parts to actually hold the weight of the vehicle, but since the Cybertruck is over 7,000 lbs, most of the cheap stuff just snaps. I actually disagree with the idea that you have to blow your entire 3k budget on one single custom shop item to get results though. You can definitely get solid protection without getting fleeced if you pick the right brands. Unfortunately, a lot of the first-to-market skid plates I have seen are way too thin for actual crawling. I had issues with some lighter aluminum plates warping after just one bad line. Since you're on a budget for the month, I would look at the Unplugged Performance Cybertruck Underbody Armor Steel. It is heavy as hell but it handles the weight way better than the stock covers or those thin alloy alternatives. For the sliders, the T-Sportline Cybertruck CNC Steel Rock Sliders are a solid choice that wont rattle if you torque them down right. Honestly, just skip the fancy mud flaps for this trip... they are just gonna get ripped off again on those Sedona ledges unless you find something with a quick-release. Better to put that money toward the belly of the truck so you dont end up with a five-figure battery repair bill.

I saw someone using custom steel sliders in Sedona and they were fantastic!

  • Beefy steel plates
  • Solid mounts Not sure but I love it!

tbh the stock underbody is basically a joke for Sedona. I came from a custom rig too and you gotta realize how much weight is hitting those rocks compared to your old truck. Ive been running some real gear for a few months and the difference is night and day. Im super satisfied with the durability so far... no rattles at all. Here is what I recommend checking out:
