Honestly im so annoyed with how fragile the interior of my new Grand Cherokee L feels. I've had it for maybe three weeks now and the piano black trim around the center console is already covered in tiny scratches and fingerprints its driving me crazy. Why did they use that material?? I love the car for hauling the kids to soccer practice here in rainy Seattle but the dirt is getting everywhere and I feel like I'm constantly cleaning it just for it to look messy five minutes later. The leather is nice but I'm terrified my toddler is gonna spill juice or something on those back seats and ruin the whole thing. I'm looking for some actual functional accessories to save my sanity and keep this thing looking decent.
I have about 500 bucks to spend right now to get this under control before the car looks ten years old by Christmas. Does anyone have specific brands that actually fit the L model correctly? Most stuff I see online is for the regular two-row version and I dont want to deal with returning things that dont fit...
> seat covers for the second row that dont look like trash ^ This. Also, get the Lusso Gear Kids Car Seat Protector! It is amazing for saving that leather from juice spills. I compared it to Covercraft SeatSaver Custom Seat Covers which are fantastic for long-term durability but cost way more... kinda overkill tbh. The Lusso is a better value for your budget! Grab a Hotor Car Trash Can 2 Gallon with Lid too. It fits the console area perfectly. Love it!
Ugh, I had the same nightmare with that piano black trim. It looked trashed after just a week in my L. I'm still learning about Jeeps but I was so disappointed with the material quality until I found these:
> good quality floor mats Im super satisfied with Husky Liners WeatherBeater Black Floor Mats for Grand Cherokee L. Theyre way cheaper than big brands but fit perfectly for messy Seattle soccer mud.
TL;DR: TuxMat Floor Mats for Jeep Grand Cherokee L 3-Row are the best for full carpet coverage. @Reply #3 - good point! Honestly, I've spent years keeping Jeeps looking new and the L is definitely the most fragile feeling one yet. Been there with the messy kids and the stress of a new car. My last rig got trashed because I waited too long. You might want to consider TuxMat Floor Mats for Jeep Grand Cherokee L 3-Row because they actually go up the sides of the footwell, which keeps the Seattle slush from soaking into the side carpets. Just make sure to check the fit for the second-row console if you have one. For the seats, Coverking Neosupreme Custom Seat Covers are solid and fit like a glove compared to generic stuff. It's smart to be super careful with the headrest installation so you dont snap those plastic clips. I've become kinda obsessed with using only a damp high-quality cloth on that dash because even interior sprays can sometimes streak that piano black.
