So we just picked up our new Carnival Hybrid yesterday and I am seriously so excited I cant even deal with it lol. Its our first ever minivan and the space is just massive compared to our old sedan but honestly I have no idea where to start with all the stuff for the back. We have a huge family trip planned for the Grand Canyon in like three weeks and I am already stressing about where the luggage and the snacks and the kids toys are gonna go. I was looking at the official Kia site and its all so confusing with the different names for things... like whats a cargo logic tray vs just a regular mat? Do I need a net? Im worried the stuff in the trunk is gonna fly everywhere when I hit the brakes. I have about $900 set aside for this but I dont want to waste it on things that dont actually work. My kids are 4 and 7 and they are basically tiny hurricanes so I need stuff that can handle spills too. Is it better to buy the ones from the dealership or should I just look at stuff on Amazon or something? I really dont want to mess up the new car interior. Does anyone have a list of what actually works best for this specific van?
Congrats on the new ride! Honestly we have been so satisfied with our setup since we got our Carnival last year. I skipped the dealership stuff because it felt a bit flimsy for what they charge... especially with kids in the mix. For the tiny hurricanes, you seriously need to look at the TuxMat Kia Carnival 2022-2025 Floor Mats Full Set. I had a whole bottle of juice explode in the second row and these mats saved my life. Just wiped it up and the carpet stayed bone dry. For the back, forget the cargo logic tray. I use the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Kia Carnival for the deep well. It has a high lip so nothing leaks onto the actual car. To keep stuff from flying around, I just tossed in two Drive Auto Products Car Cargo Organizer units. They have straps that hook into the side tie-downs so they wont move an inch when you hit the brakes. You'll spend way less than $900 too.
