Hey everyone! I just officially joined the EV club and picked up a new VW ID.4 Pro S last weekend. I’m absolutely loving the smooth ride and that quiet cabin, but I’ve already noticed a few areas where the car could use some extra protection or better organization.

First off, that piano black trim on the center console is already becoming a total fingerprint and dust magnet—it’s driving me a little crazy! Has anyone found a high-quality wrap or a cover that actually looks factory-made? I’m also looking for recommendations on all-weather floor mats. I’ve seen the official VW MuddyBuddy ones, but I’m curious if brands like Lasfit or WeatherTech offer better coverage for the dead pedal area. Lastly, the center console storage feels like a bit of a bottomless pit; I’d love to find a tiered organizer tray to keep my sunglasses and charging cables from getting lost at the bottom.

I’m looking to spend around $300-$400 to get the basics covered. For those of you who have been driving an ID.4 for a while, what are the absolute must-have accessories that improved your daily experience, and are there any specific brands you’d swear by for a perfect fit?

Adding my two cents after three years in an ID.4... honestly, that piano black is THE worst part of the interior. I had to fix mine within a month cuz it was driving me crazy!! Here is what I recommend for your budget: 1. Floor Mats: Lasfit All-Weather Floor Mats for VW ID.4 vs WeatherTech FloorLiner for VW ID.4
- Lasfit Pros: These actually cover the whole dead pedal area, which is what u asked for. - WeatherTech Cons: Theyre highkey stiff and leave a gap where dirt falls behind the pedal. I tried them and sent them back.
- Choice: Lasfit is the way to go for better coverage. 2. Console Delete: Yoke VW ID.4 Center Console Cover (Matte Black)
- Seriously, dont try to wrap it yourself unless you have tons of patience. This is a hard shell that just snaps on. Looks 100% factory and hides the dust. 3. Organization: Vesul Center Console Organizer Tray for VW ID.4
- Basically a requirement. It turns that deep pit into a usable two-tier setup for ur shades and cables. I mean, you can get all three for way under $300. gl! 👍

Jumping in here, +1 to what was said earlier. Honestly, that piano black is highkey a disaster. 1. Mats: TuxMat All-Weather Floor Mats for VW ID.4 vs WeatherTech FloorLiner. TuxMat has way better dead pedal coverage, but it's sooo annoying to dry compared to plastic ones.
2. Organizer: I tried the Seven Sparta Center Console Tray—it's cheap and fits well. Unfortunately, most accessories feel flimsy, but these actually work. gl!

yo, congrats on the Pro S! i have been in the ID.4 club for three years now and honestly, i feel u on that piano black... it is highkey the biggest design flaw lol. i remember picking mine up and it was dusty before i even got home. total nightmare. before i give the full breakdown, i gotta ask: what kind of climate are u dealing with? like, is it heavy snow or just everyday dirt? and for the console, do u prefer a matte look or maybe carbon fiber?? here is what i recommend:
1. console: get a matte cover. it looks sooo much more factory and hides everything.
2. mats: lasfit is a decent option cuz they cover the dead pedal better than weathertech.
3. organizer: a tiered tray basically fixes that "bottomless pit" console. it works way better once u get these basics sorted. anyway, lmk about ur weather and i can give better recs! gl! 👍

So basically the consensus is that the piano black trim is highkey the worst part of the interior haha. Everyone’s pretty much agreed that getting a wrap or cover is priority number one to save your sanity! For the mats, the debate between brands like TuxMat and Lasfit mostly comes down to coverage for that dead pedal. Tbh, from a safety-first perspective, I gotta add that the fitment of those mats is actually the most CRITICAL part. You want something that locks in tight because a sliding mat near your pedals is a huge reliability risk. Some of those high-end aftermarket brands use precision 3D scanning which, in my experience, offers a way more secure fit than the basic factory ones. It’s definitely worth spending the bulk of your budget there to keep things safe and clean. Gl with the Pro S, it’s a fantastic ride!!
