What are the best interior accessories for the ID.4? Im torn between getting the Lasfit floor mats or just going for the WeatherTechs, leaning towards Lasfit cuz they're cheaper but i dont want them sliding around. I need stuff that can handle my muddy boots after hiking in rainy Oregon every weekend. Budget is around $200...
Listen, I totally get the Oregon mud struggle! My ID.4 went through a literal swamp after a messy trip to the coast last month. Ended up grabbing the Lasfit Floor Mats for VW ID.4 All-Weather TPE and honestly, they are amazing! Sliding was a big concern for me too, but they have these fantastic little nibs on the bottom that lock right into the factory pegs. They havent budged an inch even when im clambering in with heavy hiking boots.
I've been driving my ID.4 for a couple years now and honestly, the floor mats are only half the battle when you're hiking every weekend. I learned the hard way that the back of the seats gets trashed when you throw muddy gear in the trunk. I eventually added the WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Volkswagen ID.4 and I've been really satisfied with how it handles the abuse. It fits like a glove and stays put no matter what. Another thing that works well for me is the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for ID.4 Infotainment. These screens are total fingerprint magnets and the matte finish really helps with glare on those rare sunny Oregon days. I was worried about the install but it went on super smooth with zero bubbles. Definitely makes the cabin feel more premium and stays way cleaner. If you end up getting one, just make sure to use a flashlight during the install to catch any tiny dust specks...
^ This. Also, you guys have really mapped out some fantastic options! So far the thread has covered:
Ugh, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but some of those budget interior accessories are honestly kind of a letdown. I tried the cheapo silicone tray inserts and they just warped in the sun and looked like melted candy after a month... not a vibe. Since you're out in the Oregon mud, you're gonna realize real quick that the floor isnt the only thing that gets wrecked. I was so disappointed when I saw how easily the side carpets got stained from my boots brushing against them while getting in. Lasfit is okay, but it leaves way too much carpet exposed on the sides for my liking. Here is how I would spend that $200 for actual protection:
