I finally took delivery of my 2024 RS 6 and honestly I am kind of terrified of messing it up but I really want more sound and maybe a bit more throttle response. Its my daily driver here in New Jersey and I need to keep it somewhat civilized for when I pick up clients but the stock exhaust is just... quiet? I spent all night looking at the Akrapovic titanium system and then saw a bunch of guys saying a simple resonator delete or a Milltek setup gives basically the same vibe for a fraction of the cost. I have about 12k to 15k set aside for mods right now.

My logic was that a high-end intake like the Eventuri would be a good start but then I read some threads saying those are mostly just for engine bay eye candy and dont actually add much unless youre tuning the car. But if I tune it Im super worried about the TD1 flag and losing my warranty since I only have 800 miles on the clock. It feels like such a waste to keep it totally stock but every time I look at a performance catalog I get overwhelmed with the choices. Should I focus on the unsprung weight with lighter wheels first or just go straight for the exhaust and intake? I just dont want to end up with a car thats too stiff or obnoxious for the commute...

I had issues with them sounding way too thin for the price. Just grab the Milltek Sport Cat-Back Exhaust System for Audi RS6 C8 and save your cash. It sounds better for way less money. Honestly, that Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake System for Audi RS6 is mostly just engine jewelry without a tune... skip it. Stick to the basics and you dont need to overspend to be happy.

@Reply #3 - good point! Honestly, warranty on a six-figure car isnt something to gamble with. So far weve got the Milltek vs. Capristo debate and a solid reality check on that TD1 flag. If you want better throttle response without the engine warranty headache, you might want to consider weight instead of just raw power.

  • Wheels: The stock wheels are basically boat anchors. Unsprung weight is the safest way to tune a daily driver. A set of HRE P101 Lightweight Forged Wheels will make the car feel more alive. It improves acceleration and steering response without touching the ECU. Plus, you wont have to explain a loud exhaust to your clients.
  • Sound: Before spending 10k on titanium, look at a CETE Automotive Active Valve Control Module. It lets you force the factory valves to stay 100% open. The stock system actually keeps them partially closed even in RS modes to meet noise regs. This is a stealthier way to get sound without looking like a teenager.
  • Intake: I would suggest skipping this for now. They look pretty, but you wont feel 5hp on a 5000lb car. Just stick to the valve controller and wheels until you hit at least 5k miles... keep it safe for now.

^ This. Also, I have to disagree with just jumping into a loud exhaust or intake setup right away, especially with your warranty concerns. If you're really worried about that TD1 flag and keeping it professional for work, you should probably do some deeper research on your own instead of just taking our word for it. It's a lot of money to spend if it ends up being too loud for your clients. I saw a really good breakdown on YouTube a few weeks ago that basically covers exactly what you're asking. Just search for "RS6 C8 daily driver mods" and it's one of the top results. It actually shows decibel levels inside the cabin which is what matters for your commute.

  • Check out the C8 RS6 threads on AudiZine
  • Search YouTube for "RS6 resonator delete vs full exhaust"
  • Look through the Audi subreddit for NJ owners Seriously, just search for it. Most of these questions have been answered a thousand times already on the bigger forums. It's better than guessing when you have 15k on the line.

Man, congrats on the RS 6! I remember my first drive in one, totally blew my mind. Since youre worried about clients, you gotta check out the Capristo Valved Exhaust System for Audi RS6 C8. It sounds absolutely savage when open but stays super professional when closed. For throttle response without triggering the TD1 flag, I really love the DTE Systems PedalBox Plus... honestly it makes the car feel way more alive instantly!
