I just got my first F-PACE and I honestly have no idea where to start with gear. Im in rainy Seattle and really worried about the carpets getting ruined by the mud. I only have 200 dollars to spend right now. What kind of interior accessories are actually worth getting for this car?

Living in the PNW, I ruined my first set of Jag carpets because I was stubborn. You gotta be careful with mud there. I've tested two main options:

^ This. Also, since you're in Seattle, the trunk is gonna get nasty from wet bags or gear. In my experience, people forget the cargo area until it's too late.

Like someone mentioned, managing the humidity and moisture inside the cabin is just as important as the floor mats. If you are coming in from the Seattle rain, your clothes are going to transfer a lot of water directly into the leather. Over time, this causes the material to stretch or even mildew if the car sits in a cold garage. Since you have a strict budget, I recommend focusing on the surfaces you touch most.

  • Gorla Premium Universal Fit Waterproof Seat Cover is a lifesaver for the driver seat. It is easy to remove when you have passengers but keeps the seat bone dry when you are commuting in a wet jacket.
  • Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner Complete Leather Care Kit is a solid investment to keep the hides hydrated and protected from salt or mud stains.
  • Lusso Gear Car Seat Protector with Thickest Padding is great for the back if you are tossing wet gear or groceries back there. Its mostly about preventing the grit from becoming sandpaper on your interior surfaces. I found that if I dont stay on top of the seat conditioning, the Seattle dampness really takes a toll on the finish. These few items should keep you well under that 200 dollar mark while providing a lot of peace of mind. Keeping the interior dry also helps a lot with window fogging, which is a big safety thing when visibility is already poor in the rain. Most of these are fairly cheap and they actually last a few seasons... worth every penny tbh.
