So i finally picked up my f-pace svr last week and the interior is gorgeous but im already paranoid about ruining the carpets since i live in a rainy part of oregon. i am stuck between just getting the official jaguar rubber mats from the dealer or going with the weathertech floorliners. the jag ones look way cleaner with the logo but the weathertechs seem to have better coverage for mud and stuff.
also thinking about upgrading the shifters to those aluminum ones i saw on amazon but dont want them looking tacky. i got about 600 bucks to spend on stuff this month and really want the best fit without it feeling like im cheaping out on a 90k car. which ones actually hold up better in the long run...
Ive been through a few SVRs now and i would suggest being careful with those dealer mats. I used the Jaguar OEM Rubber Floor Mats F-PACE before and they just didnt catch the Oregon mud properly, ended up staining my side carpets anyway. Make sure to look at WeatherTech FloorLiner HP Floor Mats for that deep lip protection. Also, watch out for cheap shifters... mine rattled like crazy.
Just caught this thread today. If youre worried about ruining that cabin, you might want to consider the screen first. That 11.4 inch display is a total magnet for oils and micro-scratches over time. Grabbing Spigen Glas.tR Slim Screen Protector for Jaguar Pivi Pro 11.4 inch is a smart move just to keep it looking mint. Also, be super careful with those cheap Amazon shifters tho... honestly, some have terrible tolerances and the set screws can actually dig into the OEM plastic which is a nightmare for a 90k car. Consider looking into a solid dashcam like BlackVue DR970X-2CH Plus 4K Dash Cam instead. It has built-in voltage monitoring which is crucial because the SVRs electrical system can be a bit finicky if you leave stuff plugged in. Make sure to check the hardwire guides on the F-Pace World forums before you start poking around the fuse box... they have detailed wiring diagrams that save a lot of headache.
Congrats on the SVR!! That engine note is absolutely intoxicating, honestly nothing else sounds like it. Like someone mentioned, those dealer mats are okay for light rain but if youre dealing with Oregon muck, you need serious coverage. Since you want to keep it looking like a 90k car while getting maximum protection, I highly recommend looking at these options instead:
