Hey everyone! I’ve been driving my 2022 Jaguar F-PACE SVR for about six months now, and while that 5.0L Supercharged V8 is an absolute masterpiece, I’m starting to get the itch for a few performance upgrades. The stock power is incredible, but I can’t help feeling like there’s a bit more sound and agility waiting to be unlocked.
I’ve been looking into a few specific options, like the VelocityAP ECU tune or maybe a more aggressive exhaust setup to really let that SVR growl shine without being too obnoxious for daily use. I’m also curious if anyone has experimented with lowering springs or upgraded anti-roll bars; sometimes the body roll feels a bit pronounced when I’m pushing it through twisty backroads. I’m not looking to turn it into a dedicated track monster, but I’d love to sharpen the throttle response and improve the overall handling dynamics.
Has anyone here installed specific performance accessories like Eventuri high-flow intakes or maybe more aggressive brake pads for better stopping power? I'm trying to find that perfect balance between keeping the refined Jaguar feel and adding a bit more 'edge' to the driving experience. What would you say are the absolute 'must-have' performance accessories for an SVR owner looking to take things to the next level?
Sooo, I was exactly where you are about three years ago with my SVR. Honestly, the stock car is a beast, but after a while, you just start craving that extra 'bite.' I wanted mine to feel more like a sports car and less like a heavy SUV in the corners. Basically, I went down the rabbit hole and I'm super happy with how it turned out. For your situation, I would suggest the VelocityAP Stage 1 ECU Tune for Jaguar F-PACE SVR. It's a total game changer. It literally transforms the throttle response—it makes the car feel way lighter cuz it just wants to GO. I've been running it for nearly 30k miles now with zero complaints on reliability. To fix that body roll you're feeling, I highly recommend the VelocityAP Lowering Springs for Jaguar F-PACE SVR. It drops the center of gravity just enough to make the twisties feel way more planted without ruining the ride quality. Honestly, it still feels like a luxury Jag until you toss it into a corner. If you want more of that SVR growl, the Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake System for Jaguar F-PACE SVR is basically a work of art. You get way more supercharger whine and better airflow. I also swapped to EBC Brakes Yellowstuff Pads for Jaguar F-PACE SVR cuz the stock ones felt a bit soft during spirited driving. They have way better initial bite. TL;DR: Get the VelocityAP Stage 1 ECU Tune for Jaguar F-PACE SVR for power and the VelocityAP Lowering Springs for Jaguar F-PACE SVR to kill the body roll. It's the perfect 'edge' without being obnoxious. Lesson learned: Don't go full track-spec right away. Start with the tune and springs, then add the intake later if you still want more noise. It's the best way to keep that refined feel you're looking for! gl!
yo just found this thread! i went through this last year but was pretty nervous about the warranty so i stayed lowkey. definitely talk to ur dealer first, but i found some cheaper ways to get that sound: * Spires Jaguar F-PACE SVR Resonator Delete (~$400)
* BMC Performance Air Filters FB996/20 (~$150) it realy woke up that v8 growl! i guess it depends on ur goals but it felt safer for me. gl!
Sooo, I was exactly where you are last year with my '21 SVR. Honestly, the stock setup is GREAT, but I felt that same itch for more "edge" pretty quickly. I went down the technical rabbit hole and ended up installing the VelocityAP Jaguar 5.0L Supercharged V8 ECU Tune along with their crank pulley upgrade. It LITERALLY wakes up the throttle response and makes the mid-range feel endless... basically how it should've come from the factory. I also switched to EBC Brakes Bluestuff NDX Brake Pads since they handle heat way better on twisty backroads without the annoying squeal you get with some track pads. For that body roll you mentioned, I found that adding the H&R Sport Sway Bar Kit made a massive difference in cornering flatness without ruining the ride quality like some springs can. I'm super satisfied with how it handles now—sharp but still feels like a Jag. good luck!!
ngl that 5.0L is a beast but youre right about the body roll... before you go dropping it on springs which can sometimes stress the factory shocks, i'd look at the rubber first. honestly, swapping the factory tires for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/40ZR22 made the biggest difference for me in terms of braking distance and cornering stability. its a huge safety upgrade tbh and definately sharpens the turn-in. for that 'edge' without the drone, i would suggest the QuickSilver Sound Architect Exhaust System. its spendy but the valve control is way better for daily driving so you dont annoy the neighbors. also, if ur worried about stopping power, dont just do pads—swap in Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid too. it basically eliminates pedal fade when ur pushing it on those twisty backroads. just be careful with tunes cuz they can flag ur VIN at the dealer and mess with the warranty! TL;DR: Focus on high-end tires and better fluid for safety/handling, plus a valved exhaust for sound control.
