I just picked up a new Outlander PHEV and want to keep the interior pristine! With kids and a dog, I’m specifically looking for rugged floor liners and durable seat protectors. Are the OEM rubber mats worth the price, or should I look at brands like TuxMat? What interior accessories have worked best for your PHEV?

In my experience, skip the OEM mats. I went with the TuxMat Floor Mats for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2023-2024 because they offer superior vertical coverage—basically protecting the entire carpet side-wall. For your dog, the WeatherTech Seat Protectors are decent cuz of the water-repellent poly-cotton fabric specs. If youre looking for actual protection from kids, these high-wall liners outperform basic rubber OEM ones highkey. good luck!

Seconding the recommendation above about skipping those OEM floor mats!! I actually just got my PHEV a few months ago and I was super paranoid about keeping it clean too. But honestly, being a bit of a safety nut, I really gotta warn you about using any generic mats. I’ve read that if they don’t fit perfectly, they can slide around and literally jam your pedals... which is like, the last thing you want with kids in the back, right??

I would suggest looking at the WeatherTech FloorLiner for 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. I know they’re basically the "obvious" choice, but their locking systems are really reliable. They don’t budge at all, which makes me feel way better when I'm driving.

For the seats, you seriously have to be careful. Since the Outlander has side-impact airbags actually built into the seat frames, you can’t just throw any random cover on there. If the cover isn’t specifically "airbag compatible," it might block the bag from opening in a crash. I think you should check out the Coverking Neosupreme Custom Seat Covers for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. They’re tough enough for a dog but have those special seams for the airbags to pop through safely.

Plus, maybe look into these items too:
* The WeatherTech Cargo Liner for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV to keep the trunk from getting hairy.
* A set of XPEL Door Sill Clear Protective Film to stop the kids from scratching the paint when they climb in.

Anyway, just make sure whatever you get is specifically for the PHEV because the floor is a bit different than the gas one. gl with the new ride!

So I actually went through this exact same thing last year when I got my Outlander. Honestly, I spent way too much on the official Mitsubishi mats and they were such a letdown... the rubber is thin and they don't cover enough of the dead pedal area. If your looking to save some serious cash while getting better protection, I highkey recommend Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2023-2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. They're usually around $130-$150 for the whole set, which is a steal compared to others. They use a stiffer TPE material that doesn't lose its shape - plus the high edges are a lifesaver with spilled drinks.

For the back, I had issues with generic thin covers that just bunched up. I suggest the Lusso Gear Dog Car Seat Cover for Back Seat for like $35. It's waterproof and has these anchors that stop it from sliding around when the dog jumps in. Lesson learned: don't pay the "dealership tax" for interior protection, basically just stick to the rugged aftermarket stuff that's actually built for abuse lol. peace

Ok so I went through this last year. I prioritized high-density TPV materials over the big name brands to save some cash. My current setup has:

* Better thermal stability for the floor
* Deep channels for dog mud
* High-friction backing

Basically, the one I got was way cheaper than the ones mentioned before but the technical specs were basically identical. Tbh, it's held up perfectly for my needs.

Adding my two cents! Honestly, you should just go with Husky Liners for the floors. They are absolutely fantastic and way more rugged than anything the dealer tries to sell you! Love how they handle spills and mud. Ngl the OEM stuff is a total waste of money compared to these. For the seats and the dog, just get any protector from BarksBar you can find. Its amazing how much abuse they take without tearing. Compared to the luxury look of some other brands, these are just pure workhorses. You basically cant go wrong with that brand if you want to keep things pristine. I wouldnt even bother looking at anything else tbh, just get those and youre set!
