So I finally picked up my 2024 Tucson Hybrid last week and I'm already regretting not getting the mats at the dealership, even though they wanted like three hundred bucks for basic rubber ones that barely cover anything. Im living up in Vermont and the mud season is basically starting early this year... it’s a total disaster. I’ve already got salt stains on the driver side carpet because the tiny factory mats are a joke. I need something that actually holds the liquid in because I’ve got two dogs and we’re constantly hiking, so the car is just a magnet for dirt and melted snow.

I’ve been staring at tabs on my laptop for three hours now and I’m torn between the WeatherTech HP ones and the TuxMats. I’ve heard WeatherTech is the gold standard but some people say they get all curled up at the edges after a summer in the heat and they look kinda industrial. Then there's TuxMat which looks really premium and covers way more of the carpet area—which sounds great for my OCD—but I’m worried they might be a pain to clean since they have that textured surface? I saw a video where someone said the clips are a nightmare to install too. Also found something called Smartliner on Amazon for way cheaper but I’m scared the fitment for the hybrid model specifically is gonna be off since the floor pan is slightly different from the gas version because of the battery under the seat.

My budget is strictly under $250 because I just dropped a ton on the down payment and I really need them delivered by next Friday before we head out for a camping trip. Does the TuxMat actually fit the 2024 hybrid perfectly or should I just stick with the 'safe' bet and go WeatherTech even if they look a bit like a truck floor? Kinda leaning toward TuxMat but really dont want to deal with returning them if the hybrid hump in the back seat messes with the fit... or are the Smartliners actually decent enough for half the price?

Jumping in here. Like someone mentioned, those TuxMats have wild coverage, but honestly? I've tried many different setups over the years and I actually disagree with them being the best choice for Vermont mud. They look great in pictures, but in my experience, that textured surface is a nightmare to scrub once the salt and clay really bake in. Since you're on a budget and need them fast, here is my take based on what I have seen:

  • Husky Liners WeatherBeater Series Floor Mats for 2024 Tucson Hybrid
  • These are usually my go-to for messy climates. They are way more rugged than the dealership stuff and they have these little cleats on the bottom so they never shift around. The wall height is specifically designed to handle large volumes of liquid, and the mold for the rear hybrid battery hump is incredibly precise.
  • WeatherTech FloorLiner HP for 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
  • You mentioned the curling issue, which definitely happened with the old high-density tri-extruded liners. The HP version is a different animal. It uses a more flexible TPE material that stays flat. It feels way better under your feet and wont warp in the Vermont winter and summer cycles. Both of these are usually well under your $250 limit and ship out super fast. Personally, I would grab the Husky ones. They just handle the grit of hiking and dogs better without the maintenance of the fancy-looking mats. You dont want to be out there with a toothbrush cleaning mud out of textures after every trip to the trailhead...

Been through a ton of brands over the years and honestly, sticking with a safe bet usually saves a massive headache later. If you want something that wont slide near the pedals, check out the 3D MAXpider KAGU Series All-Weather Floor Mats. They're super grippy and fit the hybrid floor plan perfectly... Pro tip: check warehouse sites or eBay for open-box deals to stay under that $250 limit without sacrificing quality.

Regarding what #4 said about "> My budget is strictly under $250... and...", unfortunately, I've found that budget options are often not as good as expected. Weve covered TuxMat for coverage and Maxpider for aesthetics, but many people overlook safety.

TL;DR: Grab the TuxMat Floor Mats for 2022-2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid! They offer 95 percent coverage which is amazing for blocking out Vermont mud. I have analyzed the technical specs for the NX4 chassis and the TuxMat fitment is incredibly precise around that hybrid battery housing under the seat. I absolutely love how high the side walls go... it basically turns your footwell into a waterproof bucket! If you are strictly budget-conscious, the Smartliner Custom Fit Floor Mats for 2022-2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a fantastic alternative for about $160. They use a high-density polyethylene that wont deform in the heat like some other TPE brands. Smartliner is basically the king of price-to-performance ratio! Honestly, skip the dealership stuff. The TuxMats are fantastic and they will definitely fit your hybrid floor pan like a glove. Good luck on the camping trip!

> My budget is strictly under $250... and I really need them delivered by next Friday... I really dont want to deal with returning them if the hybrid hump in the back seat messes with the fit... Honestly, fitment isnt just about the OCD or keeping things clean... its a safety thing. Ngl, Ive had sets that looked decent but would bunch up or slide forward towards the pedals because they didnt lock into the floor pins correctly. Totally sketchy when youre trying to brake in the rain. Especially with the hybrid battery hump, if the mold isnt 100 percent dead on, youre gonna have gaps where the salt just seeps right under anyway. In my experience, decent enough usually means youll be replacing them in two years when they warp. Are you planning on keeping this Tucson for the long haul or just a few years? Also, do you prioritize that high-wall tub style that catches everything, or do you find the deep ridges easier to shake out when they are full of dried mud?
