So I finally pulled the trigger on a 2024 Lexus RX 350 in that beautiful pearl white and I am so hyped but also terrified of ruining the floors since I have two messy kids and we live in a muddy part of Oregon. My logic was that I need some heavy duty protection immediately before our big road trip to the coast next month. I am torn between getting the official Lexus all-weather liners or going with the WeatherTech FloorLiners HP. The OEM ones look more Lexus and have the logo which is cool but the WeatherTechs seem to have way better coverage on the sides and I heard the Lexus ones are kinda thin.

Then there is this third option I saw on a Facebook group called TuxMat which look super high end like they belong in a luxury car but I dont know if they are actually durable or just for show? My budget is like $400 max for mats and maybe a console organizer because that center bin is just a bottomless pit lol. I was thinking maybe the JDMCAR organizer from Amazon just to keep my sunglasses and keys from flying around but idk if the fit is actually good or if itll rattle around while I am driving. Basically trying to figure out if I should prioritize the rugged look of WeatherTech or the sleekness of the OEM stuff for a car this nice... what do you guys think holds up better against spilled juice and mud?

Tbh, Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector is essential. Technically, Lexus RX 350 Genuine Cargo Liner has better clearance specs; check the ClubLexus fitment spreadsheets for the exact 2024 data.

Just catching up on this thread and honestly, I've spent way too much time obsessing over the same stuff for my RX. If you're worried about those kids and Oregon mud, you gotta think about the seat backs and the cargo area too... those are the spots that always get trashed first. Here is my experience with a couple of things that actually hold up without looking cheap:

  • I went with the TuxMat Floor Mats for Lexus RX 350 2024 and they're legit. They cover way more carpet than the Lexus OEM ones. Some people think the texture is a bit much but they feel premium and they dont move an inch. Safety is huge for me and these use clips that tuck under the side trim so they never slide around near the pedals.
  • You should definitely grab Lusso Gear Kick Mats Car Seat Back Protectors. My kids used to treat my seat backs like a ladder when getting into their car seats... these are basically invisible once installed and you just wipe them down when they get muddy.
  • For the trunk, check out the Canvasback Lexus RX Custom Cargo Liner. It covers the back of the rear seats too so when you fold them down for big stuff, the carpet stays clean. TuxMats are definitely durable enough for spills, tho they get a bit slick when they're wet, kinda like a luxury vinyl floor. Just make sure you always use the factory floor hooks... stacking mats is a massive safety no-no that I see people do way too often.

You are 100% right about that center console being a total black hole. I have had three different RX models over the years and it is always the same story... you drop your keys or a pen in there and they are basically gone until the next oil change lol. In my experience, the Lexus All-Weather Floor Liners are just not worth the cash if you actually deal with real mud or kids. They look nice for the first week because of the logo, but they let everything spill over onto the actual carpet since the edges are way too low. Over the years I have tried many different setups for my family haulers and here is what I have found:

  • High-wall coverage is absolutely essential for keeping the PNW gunk off the side carpets where it is impossible to clean.
  • The WeatherTech FloorLiner HP is indestructible but it definitely gives off a work truck vibe in a luxury cabin which some people dont love.
  • A tray like the JDMCAR Center Console Organizer makes a world of difference for keeping your sanity. I totally agree with your logic on getting protection in there immediately. If you wait even a week with kids and that Oregon weather, that new car smell is gonna be replaced by damp carpet smell real fast. Tbh, skip the thin stuff and look at the options you mentioned with the highest coverage like the TuxMat. Youll thank yourself the first time a juice box or a muddy boot hits the floor back there.

Saw this post and immediately felt that familiar anxiety. I have been driving Lexus SUVs for over a decade now and the interior vs kids battle is never-ending. I remember with my 2017 model, I thought I could handle it, then a spilled juice box basically bonded with the carpet fibers under the passenger seat. It is frustrating because you pay for that high-end carpet feel but it basically acts like a sponge for every disaster. Cleaning it becomes a part-time job and you never really get it back to 100% factory fresh. Honestly, it kind of ruins the luxury vibe when you are constantly scrubbing. Just to get a better idea of what you are dealing with, are you more worried about liquid spills or just the abrasive nature of the Oregon dirt? And do you usually have the back seats folded down or up with passengers most the time?
