What are the absolute must-have interior accessories for the new WRX? Just picked mine up yesterday and Im so hyped! I saw the Noble armrest extension and Billetworkz knobs online but people say the armrest feels cheap and those metal knobs get burning hot in the Florida sun... I got about $300 to spend right now.

Congrats on the new ride! I have been through three generations of these cars and honestly, the interior is where you spend all your time so you gotta get it right. Since you mentioned the Florida heat, stay far away from those solid aluminum knobs unless you want to brand your palm with the shift pattern every July. I learned that the hard way with my old VA... definitely not a fun experience. Instead, I highly recommend the Billetworkz Hybrid Series Shift Knob 500g because it uses a delrin cover. It gives you that heavy, mechanical throw you want without the third-degree burns since the material doesnt absorb heat like metal does. For that 300 dollar budget, you also gotta think about protection. In my experience, the factory carpets are basically magnets for sand and dirt. I have tried many different liners over the years, and the WeatherTech FloorLiner Custom Fit Floor Mats for Subaru WRX are just unbeatable for the VB chassis. They fit like a glove and save the resale value when you eventually trade up. Lastly, since you are in Florida, do not sleep on a high quality sunshade. I picked up the Covercraft UVS100 Custom Sunscreen Silver and it is a total game changer. It is thick, custom cut to fit the WRX windshield perfectly, and keeps the dash from getting blasted by UV. These three together should be right around your budget and actually make the car better to live with daily.

Congrats on the new ride. After owning four of these cars over the years, the biggest mistake I see guys make is buying those cheap stick-on trim pieces from random sites just to cover the piano black. Trust me, in that heat, the adhesive is gonna fail within three months and leave a sticky mess everywhere. I once tried to carbon fiber my whole dash on my old 2015 and it looked awful after one summer... just bubbled up and peeled. Another thing to watch for is anything that adds too much weight to your shifter without a proper pivot upgrade. People think a heavy knob is all you need for better throws but without a solid bushing or a short throw plate, you are just putting more stress on the plastic linkage. Id personally skip the purely cosmetic stuff and focus on the tactile points that actually change how the car drives.
